US bombers stage North Korea show of force

Lead a horse deep into the desert, point at a pile of sand, and claim it's water......doesn't make it water.

And no, it's not close. Here, I'll educate you.

"State-sponsored terrorism is government support of violent non-state actors engaged in terrorism."

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/State-sponsored_terrorism

So in other words, you are still wrong.

I cannot continue w/o calling your cognitive reasoning into question, so we are finished. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Actually, what he was talking about was the prediction by a Christian numerologist and preacher who proclaimed that the world would end September 23rd, 2017.

*looks at clock*

**** I'd better go get dinner quick.

You can not handle the truth, so you are fleeing for the hills in order to preserve your bubble. Typical.

So explain how this “show of force” has stopped Kim and his nuke program? Oh yeah it hasn’t, ergo it’s a waste. The only thing it has done is waste money you cons say we don’t have.

Way too soon to tell the results, but it's far from a waste. Kim has been threatening and ramping up his missile launches. Something had to happen. This is a tiny little taste of what Kim can expect if he keeps it up. We have allies in that part of the world who depend on us and Kim needed to understand that we don't take our responsibility lightly.

International airspace? Something tells me Kim was less than impressed.

It’s not too early to tell Kim has already commented on it and they are still moving forward. It was a waste but hey you guys support wastefulness as long as trump does it.

Amazingly, still not state sponsored terrorism. Would you like to learn what state sponsored terrorism actually is? Here's a hint--- it doesn't involve direct intervention by a country's armed forces.
The U.S. is definitely a state sponsor of terrorism. If anyone would like to know how it's done they can turn to America for lessons. Everyone knows all about The US love of terrorism when it's convenient.

During their war against the Nicaraguan government, the Contras committed a large number of human rights violations and used terrorist tactics, carrying out more than 1300 terrorist attacks.

The U.S. even lost a court case over it.

All of NK's bomb tests to date have fallen flat and shown the world that NK's bark is worse than its bite.

A show of force against NK from an influential power like the U.S. is a BIG mistake because all it will do is legitimize the NK government's delusional grandstanding and sense of self-importance, when really they are irrelevant.

But Trump is also a grandstander, so he can't resist pissing on the nearby tree. Basically NK is a troll and Trump is feeding them.

I guess we could have just flown over a pallet of money and asked them real nice not to be mean to us or our allies . Thats what Obama supporters equate to intelligent foreign policy decisions

We've basically already done that under several past presidents. Didn't work. He took the money and then went on to develop rockets and nukes anyway.

Do right-wingers think threatening a country makes it have less of a desire to build a nuclear arsenal?

Right wingers have watched him build his nuclear arsenal for decades now. Diplomacy hasn't worked.

Actually, what he was talking about was the prediction by a Christian numerologist and preacher who proclaimed that the world would end September 23rd, 2017.

Oh crap. That's today. We've only got a few hours left. Time to go out and rob a bank.

Saber rattling. Provocation. Exactly the opposite of diplomacy and common sense. One megalomaniac baiting another megalomaniac. If either one of those inflated egos trips the trigger screws up, the World is screwed. They're both poor little rich kids that inherited their positions. North Korea = 26 million poor people that have not invaded anyone, and if you think otherwise, prove it with an unbiased link. North Korea = threatened and intimidated by USA military threats on their borders for 70 years. Threatened with nuclear annhialation by the only Nation in the World that has bombed civilians with Nukes. Great chest thumping image for the macho ego that could backfire upon humanity. "They hate us for our freedoms."(GWBUSH, the first moron, apparently not the last) They hate us because we have killed about 20 million people. They fear us because they are sane, and we are dumb enough to have put Bigly Trigger Finger on the great big red buttooooon.

We already know about your beloved conspiracy theories about how everyone fighting Assad is a terrorist, but unfortunately for you your opinion does not hold water.

Considering that the Sandinistas were every bit as bad as the Contras, and often even worse, it's no real surprise you made another desperate flailing attempt to justify their atrocities.

Trump is stupid, but this is not.

It's been done before, including by Obama

Funny how there are several things that Trump has done that the left has jumped all over when Obama had done the very same things.

Arming and training the Contra was found to be in breach with principles of non-intervention and prohibition of use of force
The Court considered also the United States claim to be acting in collective self-defence of El Salvador and found the conditions for this not reached as El Salvador never requested the assistance of the United States on the grounds of self-defence.
The United States was never invited into Syria. Back to NK...

Trump is continuously hitting all the right notes and it looks like the NK government is so used to dealing with weak and feckless cowards in the U.S. establishment that the idea of the U.S. not trying to bribe them with more humanitarian aid never occured to them.

It hasn’t and won’t, neither will “shows of force”. But then trump supporters have a hard on hoping for korean deaths to support their white supremecist views. Trump supporters are the lowest scum bags in America.

Hold on...

Diplomacy hasn't and won't..."shows of force" won't either....

But actually removing the regime and impossing change is only because of a lust for death in support of White Supremacy? Whoo boy. I've rarely had the pleasure of someone discrediting themselves in three brief sentences but you achieved that! Congratulations!

No one invited Assad to gas his own people and help create a vicious terrorist group.

Perhaps you should go live in a dictatorship. That seems much more your speed.

Another trump supporter that has a hard on for dead Koreans. Sad that you can’t kill them yourself?

It is believed that Kim Jong-un has a weaker hold on the country and his generals than his father did. My concern is by us flaunting our military might so close to NK that it may force Kim Jong-un to act out of desperation to avoid looking weaker in his already precarious position. I feel it may be as likely to start an altercation as it is to force NK to back down.
