I think we're at least a couple months away from something truly alarming, but if the current rate of escalation stayed consistent and given that the leaders of both countries are highly unstable and narcissistic, I don't give this especially low odds that this could turn into a shooting incident.

Counterpoint: if the current situation was in the news two months ago I'd be crapping my pants. If it was in the news a year ago I'd be building a fallout shelter and stocking it with nonperishable goods.

Becoming numb sure does funny things to the brain.
