Yeah he has, from before most in here were a glean in their mother's eye. The far right has changed to definition of 'true republican' so even Attila the Hun seems like a 'librul'... eace
You have to understand that in today's GOP, "true Republican" means kissing Donald Trump's ass. If you dare oppose or disagree with the new right wing messiah, you are automatically a traitor in the eyes of the Republican voter. Just ask Ted Cruz who last July didn't endorse Trump at the GOP Convention, and was absolutely thrashed by GOP voters. He then had no choice but to endorse him two months later...to save his political career.
News flash! Premiums will rise in 2018 regardless of what insurance law is in place.
Rand Paul and McCain have nothing in common. McCain just wants to be an asshole.
He has a point. The Right didn't like it when the Reps weren't given input for Obamacare. What goes around comes around. What a debacle.
I don't know if I'd call it compromise, as much as a "caving in to the powerful Insurance lobby".
The Fed Govt basically took over the health insurance industry under the ACA
The Govt dictated coverage, risk and prices.
They removed market fundamentals and insertedhealthcare arbitrary rules and actually thought it would lead to affordable coverage and better access to healthcare
What it led to was Insurers losing billions on the exchanges and premiums and deductibles so high that buying a policy was pointless.
The insurance industry was stable and profitable offering policies with premiums and deductibles that were a fraction of what they are today for decades and then Govt stuck its nose where it doesnt belong

Either way premiums will rise - but now people with preexisting conditions will be covered.
Yeah - that's what I love about McCain - he doesn't give a **** about anyone's opinion. Now that he has cancer, he's back to what he once was - one of few politicians who spoke truth to power.
In June and July 2009, with Democrats in charge, the Senate health committee spent nearly 60 hours over 13 days marking up the bill that became the Affordable Care Act. That September and October, the Senate Finance Committee worked on the legislation for eight days — its longest markup in two decades. It considered more than 130 amendments and held 79 roll-call votes. The full Senate debated the health care bill for 25 straight days before passing it on Dec. 24, 2009.

The "Dems went it alone" nonsense was straight up propaganda.

Lmao ! ObamaCare conitnues to be the thorn in the Democrats side.

Typical trumpster, all criticism and no ideas.
As with the "thumbs down" BCRA skinny vote, Cassidy-Graham also violates McCain's stated principles regarding healthcare legislation ... bipartisanship, Congressional debate, and public (town hall meetings) debate. In addition, every major healthcare provider and every major medical/physicians organization opposed this bill.
McCain remained true to his stated principles and didn't cave-in to GOP party pressure or allow his close lifelong friendship with Sen. Lindsay Graham to influence his decision.
Gotta admire such strength of conviction.
With Collins (R-Maine) being highly unlikely, it would seem this thing is likely finished.
Premiums are shooting up again next year by at least 30 percent in some States.
More Health insurers are pulling out of the collapsing exchanes and the ACA is still imploding, driving up healthcare cost and hurting 10s of millions of har working Americans
There's nothing admirable about what McCain did.

Far more principle than The Donald. Trump would sign anything the GOP put before him - no matter how rotten the legislation - simply to claim a political win.
Look everybody! I have a win! I am the bestest prescident ever! Hey, don't read what I just signed! Take my word for it! The best healthcare plan ever!!
Trump sabotaged premiums even when Obama was president ?? How in the hell did he pull that off ??
Trump has been sabotaging Obamacare since January 20. Where ya been? Oh yeah, defending trumps support for the GOP AHCA, BCRA, skinny BCRA, and now.... TaDa.... Cassidy-Graham.

Trump wanted to hurt the Obamacare markets. The CBO says he's a success.
CBO: Obamacare Premiums Are Rising — and Trump Is to Blame
Under Trump, Obamacare outreach groups face budget cuts as high as 98%
Name one GOP politician that voted for it, just one
Donald Trump quote:
A friend of mine was in Scotland recently. He got very, very sick. They took him by ambulance and he was there for four days. He was really in trouble, and they released him, and he said, "Where do I pay?" And they said, "There's no charge." Not only that, he said it was like great doctors, great care. I mean we could have a great system in this country.
With Collins (R-Maine) being highly unlikely, it would seem this thing is likely finished.
Uh huh, and you believe when you can play gotcha, but other wise he's a liar.
