Doesn't this beat all--

One of Donald Trump’s fiercest defenders in the conservative media, has lambasted the president and called for his impeachment for seeking to preserve a program protecting young immigrants. Firebrand commentator and author Ann Coulter has been one of the staunchest defenders of Mr Trump and his “America First” platform, sharing the Republican president’s focus on limiting illegal immigration. But in the hours since it emerged that Mr Trump and top Democrats discussed preserving a program to shield young unauthorized immigrants from deportation, Ms Coulter has gone on a Twitter rampage in which she upbraided Mr Trump for reneging on campaign promises, saying he was easily manipulated, and wrote “who DOESN’T want him impeached”?

Chuck Schumer stated two weeks ago, that "Donald Trump is no Republican." He's right, Trump was never a Republican much less a conservative. Millions of Republicans knew this, and were outspoken about it, but were completely ignored.

So what happened?
As Conor Friedersdorf wrote last year in the Atlantic: “the elements of the party that sent pro-Trump signals to primary voters—Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Ann Coulter, Jeff Sessions, Rick Scott, Joe Arpaio, Sarah Palin, Ben Carson, Rudi Guiliani, Chris Christie, Breitbart.com, The Drudge Report, The New York Post are simply more powerful, relative to National Review, Mitt Romney, John McCain, and other ‘Trump is unacceptable’ forces, than previously thought.”

Steve Bannon of Brietbart News, who turned into Trump's campaign adviser, and others turned Trump into what they "wanted him to be" during the election season. Trump a T.V. Reality star accustomed to acting fit their bill. Right wing talk show hosts wanted a "revolution against the Establishment" and sold Trump to their audiences to no end, including Ann Coulter. He has always been a liberal. Even campaigning on single payer healthcare, and child care subsidies (another Obamacare type program) during the campaign season. No one heard that?

Rush Limbaugh knew Trump was a con man and never said a word. He was more interested in his revolution against the Establishment.

Now they're indignant & shocked! Give me a break. Trump has always been more suited toward being a Democrat, and he'll work better and accomplish more with Chuck Schumer & Nancy Pelosi--than he ever would have with the Republican party.

So when the fingers starts pointing--remember where to point.

I think we'd all be better off if we ignored people like Coulter, regardless of what she says.

She has been blowing cold since what, FEB?

Wasn't blowing too cold to write this:

I follow her on Twitter. Up until about 3 weeks ago, she was not blowing cold.

LOL yeah, some would call me a glutton for punishment. Me? I use her, Trump, Trump Jr., et al, to take out my frustrations on. Turns out I can be a pretty nasty person when I want to be. :D

Re: Trump supporter Ann Coulter calls for his impeachment after he compromises on imm

I don't think being a crass idiot is an impeachable offense.

So what happened?

I don't care what Ann Coulter says. I am not a Republican and I don't vote "Party."

I knew Trump was not a Republican when he ran, nor is he a Democrat. He's a 71 year old, old-school capitalist with a streak of Classical Liberalism (not the SJW Progressive-Left stripe).

He is also a stereotypical New Yorker to the core...i.e. a social-climbing, economic opportunist.

I don't think he wants a second term, although he wouldn't mind getting it.

He already got what every kid born in his era was taught to want...be President. Now he want's to go down in history as a "good" President.

All of this means he is always willing to compromise and negotiate. Hell, he wrote a book about it.

I am not surprised by this recent turn of events. IMO he banked on the Republicans in Congress to actually have both his back and a ready set of legislation for him to sign that would please their base and make him look good.

When they showed both a lack of real support (ex. RINO's like McCain, etc.), and no actual legislation despite their rhetoric over the last 10 years? He decided to take a shot across the aisle with the Democrats.

All the Republicans have to do is stop jerking around and start ACTING like they wanted to push their own promised agenda (since they control enough votes) and give him some actual "wins" and he would swing back their way.

IMO his current actions are designed to encourage them to do just that. :twocents:

I think you got that just about right.

I said that Trump was the quintessential New Yorker and businessman when he was running, but people insisted on pigeon holing him as a Republican. Businessmen follow their noses towards the best deal they can make, and I seriously doubt if Trump really cares about what side the deal comes from. If anything, Trump is more like the old school democrats, and that is not a bad thing to me.

Screw the GOP....... and their sudden righteousness!

I can't say that I am surprised. This was months before the election.

Breaking news:

Trump is not only a Republican - he is the leader of the Republican Party

And I hope this is not too much truth for you, but he is also a politician

Be careful what you wish for. You may not like what rises from the ashes. ;)

Re: Trump supporter Ann Coulter calls for his impeachment after he compromises on imm

Like Ann Coulter is even going to do so much as vote against him in 2020.

Re: Trump supporter Ann Coulter calls for his impeachment after he compromises on imm

Why would anyone care what this tranny wanna be says or thinks, she is a level four fame ho, who will say anything to appear even remotely relevant.

There is not a single person in the presidential line of succession that I am OK with, but any one of them would be better than a 70 year old idiot with no impulse control, an itchy trigger finger and the nuclear codes.

Meh, don't buy into the propaganda. I'm more worried about a fat little Korean madman with nukes.

It is a proof the entirely political system which allows a liar to run the country is wrong.

You shouldn't talk about Obama like that...

Re: Trump supporter Ann Coulter calls for his impeachment after he compromises on imm

I'm surprised Coulter backed Trump at all, considering his history of schmoozing with the Dems and the Clintons. For a self-professed die hard Conservative like Coulter, that's quite the black mark on a Republican's history. I've seen people abandon candidates for less.

Re: Trump supporter Ann Coulter calls for his impeachment after he compromises on imm

Honestly - I don't know many people on the right who even like Ann Coulter. I know I don't.
