Seeing reports of up to 20 injured. Terrorism is being investigated...

Commuters fled in terror after a blast sent a "fireball" and a "wall of flame" through a packed London Underground train at Parsons Green station.
Witnesses reported seeing several people hurt and "covered in blood" after a "flash and a bang" on the District Line Tube in west London on Friday morning.

Parsons Green 'explosion': Blast sends 'fireball' through packed District line Tube train - latest news

No fatalities reported yet. *sigh*...

Looks like a bomb that failed to detonate properly. Some very lucky people today.

It does seem like it went off. Fortunately just not enough power behind it to kill anyone. But there are reports of severe burns, and trample injuries as well.

They are just lucky that it wasn't at the morning rush, or even at noon. That section can easily get crammed with a few hundred people at least in the more hectic hours.

It was the morning rush. About 8:30am. It's currently 10:45am in London.

So, doubly lucky there don't seem to be fatalities.

Apologies, the report I read said it was supposedly around 6am. Though that was an extremely early report to be honest.

Yup, not surprised. I'd say roughly 80% of the stories I'm seeing right now are from tabloids that would rather be first than right. They aren't familiar names in America. Ignore anything from the Sun, Daily Star, the Mirror, the Express -- all tabloids. Look for Telegraph, Guardian, BBC, etc.

Glad there were no serious injuries or fatalities.

I usually stick with the Guardian, or the BBC.
This one just popped up on my feed after getting an early breakfast, so I checked it.

Kind of surprised that more then a few people are declaring it a terror attack. That has to be some sort of speed record on the decision, because they usually muddle about it for about 10 hours, before doing so.

I'd say it's due to the method. The last few attacks have been cars plowing into people, so motivate takes longer to establish. Hell, it could be someone who just had a seizure behind the wheel -- that's something that happens from time to time.

But with an obvious explosive device, however amateurish, it's pretty clear what the intent was.

You usually don't get pictures of the still intact bomb after the event taken by the public.

I think we've come to believe in terrorist with a capital T. A bomb in a subway constitutes terrorism no matter who did it.

Scotland Yard says it was a terrorist attack, the fifth this year. Police believe there is a man still on the loose. Great pics, as always, at the Daily Mail. Explosion reported on District Line train at Parsons Green | Daily Mail Online

Hamza bin Laden (son of You-know-Who, whom many analysts think is being groomed to take over the movement)'s latest article in AQ media urged followers to attack trains, though he suggested derailment.

Hopefully the No Deaths number holds :(

Good that no fatalities have been reported. Hopefully there will be no casualties at all. Hopefully.

I'd say by this point in the day it's looking pretty hopeful. About 5 hours since the attack, 22 injured with no fatalities, and no one in critical condition.

I'm not sure that I would call the absence of faitalities a good thing. There are casualties, some are disfigured for life. It's still a win for the attacker. Plus, he knows what he did wrong. If he survives to attack again, his device will be of better quality and dependability.

Only one thing we can be absolutely rock solid certain about at this stage Maggie. NOTHING TO DO WITH ISLAM WHICH S A RELIGION OF PEACE.

The failed bomb was to be detonated by Christmas lights connected to a timer as on line ISIS instructions recommend. It went off at 8.20 and could have been placed on the train at at any time anywhere along the route. It was by sheer luck that it partially detonated while the train was stopped in a station.

Well then, that's good.

It would be even better if those who did it are caught. Next time they could get it right and the bomb could fully detonate.

Hows that multiculturalism working out for you Europe ?

Europes leaders have put bad policy over the safety and security of their citizens for years now and this is the predictable end result after allowing in millions of unvetted Muslim refugees

The Dems had every intention of doing the same here. The Dems have no issue puttung party and ideology over Country when it suites their needs

It's good to see the people of London had some good luck in this attack. No reported fatalities, no serious long term injuries that I'm aware of and little damage to the transportation infrastructure. You may even be close on the heels of the bomber(s). All in all you've gotten very lucky you jammy bast*rds and it's about time you caught a bit of good luck.

Keep your heads down and your spirits high people of London and don't let the bast*rds grind you down!

Cheers.

Londons mayor said they will not give into terrorism.
I though terrorism was part and parcel of living in a large City ?
