RPC is a last Mongolian institution in Muscovy, which was not even an Orthodox church from beginning , it was a Nestorian one. It was not recognized by Constantinople (more then 100 years) until the craziest of all tyrants - pure maniac Ivan the terrible hasn´t paid a huge bribe to Constantinople.
