Clinton laments how Benghazi tragedy hurt her politically | Fox News

Hillary Clinton seemed to add Benghazi to her already-long list of culprits to blame for her upset loss to Donald Trump last November, on the heels of the five-year anniversary of the terror attack.

In her first live interview since the election timed with the release of her new memoir “What Happened,” Clinton on Wednesday brought up the controversy over the Benghazi terror attack in response to a question about her likability.
You know, it takes a special kind of stupid to bring this up again. There is no plus to this, except to reveal more damaging information or sink her further into being the poster child for corruption. Now she's got the families pissed off; not a good idea. Read the article and you'll see. All she accomplished during that ordeal, and now, was to demonstrate she doesn't have what it takes to be Commander-in-Chief.

And then, the coup de gras, was that she thinks that she really didn't **** up her presidential campaign. :doh

Just think of how the North Korean threat might filter through her Benghazi stain.

Sanders might not be much better, neither the other Republicans.

I think we really are better off with VP Mike Pence and the Evangelical influence, although the economy won't do as good and crash if Democrats fail in their opposition of tax reform.

She continues to remind us why it was so hard to vote for her. While HRC and CNN are on a blame Bernie, Bernie Bros, Benghazi and the right hissy fit. Bernie has been working on universal healthcare and promoting his bill Medicare for all.

I would not vote for anyone who places their religion above the Constitution and is stupid enough to admit it.

The Benghazi attack didn't hurt Clinton. She had a chance to be a hero. Clinton hurt Clinton.

She is destroying the democratic party. She needs to go away already. She has enough baggage to fill a freight train.

If we are going to have UHC by morphing an existing program into it then I would prefer a hybrid of Medicaid and Medicare as the basis for it. Medicare has an auto contribution via a flat payroll tax and a fixed premium for those actually enrolled in it and pays 80% after a (small) annual deductible. Medicaid if funded by general tax revenue (federal and state split) has no premium, no annual deductible and pays 100% including (medically necessary) nursing home room & board.

My hybrid suggestion is to keep the Medicaid benefit structure (no added out of pocket costs for any care required) but to add a premium (yep a tax increase) of 5% (with an equal employer match) taken as a payroll deduction much like Medicare does now - thus no wage income then no added (UHC premium) taxation. Before you hit the roof, and scream that "the rich" should pay that added tax too, please note that "the rich" already pay far more than an extra 5% (10% with the employer match) and on far more income (and from all sources) - thus "the rich" are still paying the lion's share of the UHC tab.

I did not vote for this, but now that we have it I can see the greater reasoning.

It demonstrated her lack of execution, she was nothing more than a bystander sitting on her hands.

She shouldn't have left those guys out there with their asses hanging in the wind and then lied about it

I'm surprised Hillary's 2.8 remaining white knights have yet to step in to tell us all how much we hate Mrs. Clinton for being a woman, and that we want to silence her because we're afraid of a strong female leader who doesn't afraid of anything.

Well, we are dealing with the person who read 1984 and her takeaway was that it taught people to trust the government and the press, soooo...

The one caveat to medicaid is that you get the best medical coverage that government can police....

Even as politically minded as she is, once in awhile we get a glimpse of the horrible, self centered, piece of human debris that she is trying to hide. And stupid, too. The Obama administration did nothing, fearing that some kind of screw up would hurt them just before the election.

Ironically, they could have made themselves look like they cared if they sent something, anything to help those people. And no one would be using Benghazi to show what she really is.

It demonstrated her lack of execution, she was nothing more than a bystander sitting on her hands.

The problem with the Benghazi situation was more about the all out attempt at a cover up rather than the act itself. No one bought the unknown film lie. And sending out the attack dogs en masse on Sunday made the story less believable. To this day we have no idea who dropped the ball and/or why.

Most suspect this is a more to the story story and Hillary was involved up to her pantsuit. People didn't forget Nov 8th.

The Benghazi attack didn't hurt Clinton. She had a chance to be a hero. Clinton hurt Clinton.

She got the popular vote and would have been president had she won the states she took for granted. That was her big downfall. Trump campaigned heavily in the rust belt where the economy has been in the toilet for a long time under blue rule. As a result many independents and moderate democrats voted for Trump hoping that a change in leadership would be a change for the better in their region. Clinton only has herself to blame for why she lost so many states.

Obviously, UHC requires trusting your very life to the federal government. It doesn't get much scarier than that. ;)

It demonstrated her lack of execution, she was nothing more than a bystander sitting on her hands.

And yet after all these years of gratuitous investigation not one thing has emerged that could have been done differently and was within the realm of possibility.

And then there's ...
Clinton State Department silenced them on Benghazi security lapses, contractors say
EXCLUSIVE: Security at the State Department's Benghazi compound was so dire that another contractor was brought in to clean up the mess just two weeks before the 2012 terror attack – and was later pressured to keep quiet by a government bureaucrat under then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to two men from the American security company.

As the story goes, the 2 Americans from the security company in the story lost the bid for the Embassy in Libya to a lower bidder who then subcontracted for hired guards who weren't armed.

It's a good question to ask for comment on her book tour.

If she's damaging the Democrat party I say keep her along. That party deserves to burn

That's interesting. See, there are many people who believe that nothing else should be above their faith, not just Mike Pence. Personally, I think that religious people are gullible saps but that is just me.

All empty suitcases stuffed there by Fox News.

She was a highly qualified candidate, with huge amounts of experience, knowledge, judgment, sophistication, and temperament to be a very steady hand at the wheel. Instead, voters voted in the equivalent of a crazy delinquent 16-year-old trying to get their learner's permit. They were in no mood for "steady". Oh well. In a democracy, people get what they want, and deserve.
