Rahm Emanuel creates ‘Trump-free zone’ for students at Chicago schools

Your comparison is silly.
Obviously if anyone takes the blame in the situation of 'Dreamers', it would be their parents.

Regarding the vehicle, of course you won't get to keep it,

But that is obviously not even close to the same thing as being kicked out of your home country simply because your parent or parents arrived in it illegally, with you along as a child.

Actually no, its the same legal basis: you are here illegally/have the car illegally. Both ways you arent to blame, both ways you have to "give up that which you are not entitled too."

Ya know how many stupid laws are on the books? In many counties in the south it's legal to beat your wife on Sunday. You have to pick your battles. And I say your battle is unjust, dangerous for the family structure and downright mean, You think it's realistic to shove off a 20-year-old kid who's probably never been to Mexico might not even speak the language. Everything is black-and-white.

Its not legal to beat your wife any day anywhere.

I have compassion. For those here legally. What about all they did to be here? THEY matter.
You suffer from an inability to see things from another's perspective. You see compassion in taking a young adult who's been in this country their whole life, probably have never been to Mexico, might not even speak the language, you see compassion in forcing somebody who's been here the whole life, gotten an education, has friends, a routine, a job, a life to to a foreign land they've probably never been too? That's "conservative compassion" but that's not compassion.

I see it just fine. I just don't care about the sob story bull****.
Does it suck for them? Yep. Blame the parents. Dont' whine and cry when the gig is up.

I want to prevent MORE of these situation, you encourage them

Apple and Microsoft employs illegal aliens? Sounds like they both need to be investigated.

If they're DACA they're not illegal.

But if you have a work permit you aren't here illegally.

But that's the issue, what's your comprehensive immigration plan in a nutshell? Was going after Dreamers really the high priority in anyone's reasonable immigration plan? You want to deport them, before you deport the criminals? Or the non-dreamers? Be specific.

Are you wanting mass deportation? Why hasn't it passed, Republicans are in control of house/senate/potus.

If mass deportation cannot pass, would you not want to pass something to at least resolve today, and curb it for tomorrow, rather than having this limbo of undocumented millions?

That's a pretty sociopathic POV. I'm glad I'm not you.

Yes, they are. The president doesn't have the power to naturalize foreign citizens.

You don't have to be naturalized to legally work here.

Of course not.

The injustice or justice comes in how that is done.

It's unjust to punish children for the sins of their parents.

They are breaking the law.

I don't know about "sin," but their parents did them no service by sneaking them in and that act should not be rewarded.

You are demonstrating the usual ignorance of facts. Breaking a law requires knowledge, intent and action, none of which a minor being brought into the country has or had.

They are illegal aliens.

Your usual diarrhea is as relevant as always.

Who the hell is A Sharif?

Mazar-i-sharif???????nsorry going back to my active duty carreer at a guard tower watching that city.

WowRahm thinks he has more authority than our
potus'. This is on Trump to handle as he sees fit but If it were me I think I would target dreamers in Rahms city. I would deport every one of them I was legally able to and challenger Rahm to do something to stop me.

State and local governments are under no compulsion to enforce federal immigration laws. They may choose to, or they may choose not to. It is not in their purview to do so; that is the federal government's job.

What I want is:
Enforce the existing laws
Encourage legal entry and stays
End the anchor baby crap
If you are not here legally you get no welfare or support from the government, your kids don't use our schools, anyone that employs you risks heavy fines/jail time and we will deport you should you come to the attention of the government.

Harsh? Yeah, and I get how there are those who feel that's wrong and too tough. It's necessary to control the illegal flow. Take away the incentive. Just look at this year vs 8 years under Obama. Trump projected the threat a serious crackdown, and enforcement is more tough, look at the reduction in illegal immigration and the increase in people leaving the country before they get the boot.

When you encourage a negative behavior, even if your motivation is "compassion" that encourages more of said behavior. Which in the long run is NOT compassionate.

Ya'll have the belief I'm lacking in compassion because I am thinking long term health of the country and wanting to prevent future situations like this. I WANT people to come to America, to share in the wonder that is our Country, to have great opportunity. But there is a right way, and a wrong way to do that. I support the RIGHT WAY.

Ignorantia juris non excusat

(Ignorance of the law is no excuse.)

Chicago once had a great mayor. It was a fairly long time ago.

I know exactly what it means and they get pretty easy to pick out on this forum.

No you don't. At all. You have a partisan hack problem. If someone doesn't see the world the way you do, you assign all sorts of negative motivations for their lack of being the same as you are. In this case, you assign a lack of compassion to me because I don't share your views on immigration. You do this to bolster your own belief that you are morally and intellectually superior and by assigning negative motivations it let's you castigate me and the ideas and positions I hold without ever having to actually think about them. Instead of a discussion that might lead you to have to reconsider your own ideas, views and principles you cocoon yourself intellectually.

Anyone that wants to exile people to a nation they have probably never been too, may know nothing about the culture or speak the language. Destroy their lives exhibits sociopath traits. Thats a level of uncaring off the charts.
