How did he know there was no crime when the guy in charge of the server had taken the 5th and no other witnesses had been interviewed. And he had little choice but for the Oct. announcement as he had told Congress under oath any new developement he would inform them and there was little doubt it would get out.

I should have stayed off the thread anyway. There is nothing that comes to mind that I care less about at this point than Clinton and her f'ing emails, and I can't imagine learning something meaningful on the topic after 289 threads on DP on the subject and daily coverage in the MSM for a couple years now.

What do I think?

Comey has not been forthcoming and I believe that is because he was part of a cover up for Clinton in the Obama administration. Loretta Lynch said "jump" and Comey replied " how high".

While the left saw Comey re-opening the Clinton case after all those emails were found on Anthony Wiener's computer as a move to cause Clinton to lose the election, I am thinking it had to do more with Comey worried about Comey. Then later he gave a statement that nothing new was found among the emails and that turned out to be a lie too. It was later proved there were a lot of emails among the batch that Clinton never turned over and some were quite sensitive in nature.

Better question: if he was in the bag for Hillary, why did he release that letter about Weiner's computer a week before the election?

Maybe the pundits should have been more even-handed. But what they did was laugh at the mere possibility, and thus made galactic fools of themselves.

Voters in 50 states and one district decided the outcome in their respective states and how their electors would vote. Trump won 30 of those elections to Clinton's 21.
