Trump has been under hostile investigation over his business since he was 25 years old. Nobody has turned up anything, not even the New Jersey gaming commission, so I doubt Mueller will do any better.

I was going to say that it came out in the Drudge Report, but as I go back and check the history that was after Starr had been mucking about on various topics for 4 years. And then up pops Lewinski (so to speak) pretty much at random. Lewinski didn't appear as a result of methodical work by Starr, though.

If Mueller intends to follow Starr's example, which is to muck around until something turns up by chance that's not even remotely related to the original purpose of the investigation, I don't think he can hope for much. Trump has been under the scrutiny of hostile investigators of various stripes for many many years. When it came to the Clintons there was a lot more to find -- The Travel Office Scandal, the Rose Law Office Papers, the abuse of confidential FBI files, Madison Guaranty, Lewinski, Paula Jones, various other sexual assaults and at least one rape, etc.

One thing about Trump that his opponents have never been able to wrap their heads around is what a boy scout he is when it comes to personal life and business dealings. Such is the delusional system of Trump's opponents, though, that they think that even though he has been, for example, under continuous audit by the IRS for the last 30 years they think they'll find something in his tax returns.

The idea that DJT, Jr. was going to lead the people in a rebellion against the elites is Trump's sick, cynical joke on the country. There is NOTHING in his history to indicate he cares about anyone but multi-$billionaire DJT, Jr, aka one of the very elites you're speaking of. And nothing during the campaign or as POTUS indicates differently.

Healthcare is the perfect example. He ran on UHC and not cutting Medicaid, Medicare of SS. What he DID was outsource the drafting of 'replace' to the puppets of the elites, McConnell and Ryan, and lifted not even a rhetorical finger to push back on a plan that cut Medicaid by nearly a $trillion and would have increased the number of uninsured by 10s of millions, but what it DID do was cut taxes for those elites! That's our populist POTUS, leader of a rebellion, if the end result of it is an actual plutocracy!

Yes, plenty has been turned up, inclduing money laundering for which his organization was fined. He's most likely been laundering hot money for the Russian mob for decades.

There is his whole life of making extreme efforts to hang out with all kinds of people, to the point that he understood where the people are and was willing to say so when most everyone of the elite class else either did not know or would not say, which propelled him to the White House.

He used ring wing media/news and populist rhetoric that is as old as recorded history, told a subclass of people what they wanted to hear in a glitzy campaign show, and they bought it.

I believe that he is more open to the truth and more honest than we usually see from the generally abusive and incompetent elite class, which explains his attraction to the little people. There is a genuine affection running both ways, which is being ground down by the elite who are willing to burn down the country to burn Trump out, as I saw coming long ago, but that does not take away from what Trump did or what Trump was willing to do for his country.

My point is he has done nothing but talk for his entire life about the problems of anyone but DJT, Jr. and his kids. That's all he cares about. He SAID he'd provide universal healthcare, and protect Medicaid. He outsourced healthcare to the "elite class" controlled by the Chamber of Commerce guys, and then repeatedly said he'd sign that bill even though it would hurt the people he promised to help. Point is he doesn't care about the poor whites in KY, many of whom are on Medicaid with insurance for the first time in their life. At the first chance, he wanted to rip that insurance away so the GOP can fund more tax cuts for the rich donor base. That last bit is who DJT, Jr. IS and what his actions over 70 years tell us he is - out for himself, and he's a billionaire, lifelong member of the privileged elite!

He sacrificed as lot of quality time with his family in his last years, he sacrificed a lot of the wealth he was hoping to hand to them upon his death and he did that for us....you are clearly not paying attention.

Ivanka now needs an appointment to see her dad, and they have always been very close, think about that for a minute.

He never expected to win, that was not his motivation, he was out there doing what Bernie was doing, using a POTUS run to sound the alarm, he was trying to wake us up to how broken we are. Sure he did his best to have a good time at it, as he always does because Trump needs to have his fun, but he would be doing that regardless.

It isn't sound because it has been politicized. Yes more questions need to be asked starting with those in powerful positions that are in charge of investigations. Evidently someone on Mueller's team is leaking to Politico. Leaking to Politico in itself is an act of partisan wrangling. Both political parties use Politico to leak. There were a lot of leaks coming out of Mueller's investigation early on and Congress warned Mueller that if they continue they will be calling him in for questioning.

From what was disclosed this week about Comey and the FBI and how he conducted the investigation of Clinton, and his down right lying...well just firing him wasn't enough. That place needs a good enema on the 7th floor of the FBI building where a group of pwerful political hacks are the bad apples that are spoiling the whole bushel. It is why countless requests from Congress to the FBI on documents were stalled and after several requests what they did get was so heavily redacted because they had something to hide.
Here's hoping the new director, Wray, can clean it up around there.

Yeah, remember Trump University? He settled a civil fraud case for $25 million dollars just prior to taking office. He's been sued hundreds of times over his unethical business dealings. A reasonable person can justifiably have reason to question Donald Trump's character and easily see why he's been the target of "hostile investigation"...whatever you define that as.
