Military Joint Chiefs Denounce Charlottesville Racism

Only those who self describe themselves as such but in reality are nothing of the sort.

Nothing like a nice, definitive answer. So, you are using the "no true Scotsman" defense, which is now, apparently, a perfectly acceptable thing to do.

I'm not sure how the Joint Chiefs of the Armed Services are supposed to be relevant to the events in Charlottesville.

Look - crap like Charlottesville could happen any week of the year - are the Joint Chiefs going to be issuing condemnations and disclaimers literally every time events like these happen?

Who's next - the Surgeon General? What about NASA? Or the EPA?

Maybe.

Breathing the smoke created by those flame throwers can be dangerous to your health.

What do you mean they broke with President Trump?

When did President Trump say anything positive about the rally or the group?

Obviously, he did not. But, he also criticized the alt left fascists. I guess the left actually likes them, and supports their violence and oppression.

Where does the Postmaster General stand on this? Is he on the JCS?

I think he is busy trying to keep the post office above water and trying to keep his employees from killing other employees.

I know, the meaning changes depending on who uses it. So, no true civil and moral person supports Trump? Is that the position you are taking or not?
No true or moral person, who understands just what is Trump, will support him.

You have been guided through this already.

No surprise here, LOL!

It's just so ironic that you guys go crazy when Trump says something, and are outraged if he doesn't make an uninformed, knee jerk answer like Odummy often did, but you make your crazy, hypocritical statements and then refuse to back anything up or even provide the slightest bit of reasoning behind your thought process.

That's called losing the argument, and badly.

The above arguments here are no more logical than when made back in flacaltenn'ville.

Of course not. He is the best, believe me. His achievements in this short period of time are astounding, no one else has ever done so much in so little time and garnered the respect and praise of the entire world. He is the most phenomenal leader we ever had, by far and believe me that no one ever will mach his accomplishments. Is that the way people who are deluded Trump apologist see it?

Not that I am aware.

People are coming out to condemn nazis and you're talking a lot of **** about service records. When, where and with which unit did you serve?

No, its not some big conspiracy, one of the few things real Americans hate more than Trump is nazis. When they're on the same side its even more disgusting.

1) As a free man I am allowed to speak and given where the experts have delivered this country the argument "Only the experts can speak" gets you no place with anyone with any sense.

2) The problem with your argument are twofold, 1) I am often right and 2) I called how this was going to go a long time ago, and ability to predict is proof of education and wisdom.

Of course you're allowed to speak, but if you keep rambling on about "service records" when you don't have one yourself and the "liberal military", it makes you look pathetic. Make your own arguments and stop pretending like having been in the military is some special criteria for anything, it's not.

I dont recall using the term "service record" and I always speak for myself.

I think for myself too.

Politely, you have mistaken yourself for someone who understands what is going on.

You have every right to continue speaking and showing that my evaluation of your words is correct.

Alpaca, being in the military does give one some cachet that non-service misses.

You watch: the 'generals' will be the ones to persuade Pence to go to the rest of the cabinet and then on to Congress for Amendment XXV action.

I think the military should stay out of politics.
hite House.

Try telling that story to those who like the job that Eisenhower did in the White House.

Ike wasn't in the service when he was president

What purpose is served by this? Virtue signaling?

I understand a reasonable expectation for someone like the President to speak up. It's part of his job.

But this is the Joint Chiefs. They are not supposed to be political, they are supposed to maintain the good order and function or our various military services.

Is the assumption that if one does not loudly and openly proclaim they are against this or that, then they must be for it?

This kind of thing reminds me of those repetitive loyalty pledges required by totalitarian regimes to prove virtue (enforced by informers who gain points for fingering the silent ones out).

Of course most people are opposed to extremism. Does one have to constantly disavow murder or rape to show they aren't for murder and rape?

Is the idea that silence equals consent?

Why do people have to prove themselves...as if simply disavowing something proves anything at all.

I am honestly baffled.

Are you honestly ****ing baffled? There's a surprise.

Maybe they made the statement because of the vast amount of diversity in the ranks of our military...
Perhaps it's a good thing to send a message while Trump is sending out mixed signals.

Not hard to figure this one out, dude.
