White nationalists are planning 9 rallies nationwide this weekend alone

White Nationalist groups are the loser younger brother of the family who's always drinking and has gambling debts. He brings shame on the family, but he's still in the family.

If Nazis show up again, you can continue to play the whataboutism game as you did with the Charlottesville protest, but that won't address the fact that the Republican party has a White Supremacist problem, and that the leader of that party feels beholden to them.

Do you think the violent pricks in Antifa are a problem for the left as well?

what a stupid post. See here you go, proving my point. "that you and your ilk's main goal is to tie the everyday conservative to these white nationalists and other racists." you are no more tolerant of people and views than the nazis. You probably support antifa violence against not only nazis, but anyone right of center.

was the eric cantor guy a hero or a thug to you?

This has gone past ridiculous...

The crazy left that has power and influence in this country are CONTINUING calling EVERYONE racist, EVERYONE Alt-Right, EVERYONE a Nazi who doesn't have Post Modern Left Ideology...

The left is creating Nazi's.... You are making enemies of ordinary, non-violent, reasonable, people... branding them with the same labels of the worst aspects of human nature completely unwarrented ... simply for not agreeing with the Leftists that poison the Western world. This is on the Left... Politics are going to continue to get divided.... and the real Nazi's or Marxists are going to come... and we will all be sorry...

Identity politics will continue to breed identity politics... individualism is dead to these people.

Google’s Pittsburgh Offices Targeted In Nationwide Protests « CBS Pittsburgh

Seems unless theres some other groups attending the main group is not white nationalist
besides if people are looking for violence and go looking for and starting trouble that would be a bad move here in the burgh anyway especially at that location.

It won't go well in Pittsburgh. The city will arm the Pirates with baseball bats and send them out to keep order. The Pirates will lose again.

Why it would look exactly the same to you on your tv.

You badly misunderstand. I was looking forward to the warm welcome the people of Detroit would provide for these racist assholes invading the city to spew their message of hate.

So stay away. Let them preach to the crowd. If they get no attention, they crawl back under their rock.

Agreed.

bwhahahahahahahah aint that the truth!!!! . . .

but then what happens when the Steelers show up in full football gear and Pens show up with hockey sticks? ;)

I know another poster has already asked you this question but since you refuse to answer him, maybe you'll answer me.

" March for Google ", is it or is it not a " White Nationalist Rally " ???

Perhaps it would be prudent to look at Jack Posobiec, the founder of the rally ?

Posobiec, however, rose to prominence as an alt-right figure best known for his involvement in the Pizzagate conspiracy theory and reported role in displaying a “Rape Melania” sign at an anti-Trump protest. He has previously denied the label of “alt-right,” instead considering himself a part of the “new right,” a group the Anti-Defamation League calls the “alt-lite,” or a “loosely connected movement whose adherents generally shun white supremacist thinking, but who are in step with the alt-right in their hatred of feminists and immigrants, among others.”

I appears the alt-right is attempting to morph into a more encompassing group, perhaps hoping the new recruits will be "converted". What has not changed is the color of the groups skin.

Indeed because it's others your leave to the fight.

**** white nationalists, **** nazis, racist, and other bigoted scum. That's my view of them.
I'm simply pointing out that you and your ilk's main goal is to tie the everyday conservative to these white nationalists and other racists.
Pretty simple, eh.

I'm of the opinion that right wing media/establishment pushes it for votes. They don't care either way.

But many of those that buy into this particular strain of right wing propaganda, I think fall on some spectrum of white nationalism/racism. They sanitize it and walk the language back, so that they are only protesting efforts to help reverse certain disadvantaged minority groups, not because they are racists/white nationalists (so they argue), but because it's wrong to try and reverse it via government.

So opposition is to the fullest extent of social and legal acceptance, so to speak. They are riding the line so close, to suggest that's coincidence seems silly. And yet, there is consistent evidence that they are just re-branding to continue to have relevance and not be rejected outright.

These types of a long history of trying to sanitize their nonsense Rev., we don't have to try hard to show that:

White separatism and white supremacy are subgroups of white nationalism. Separatists seek a white-only state; supremacists believe that white people are superior to nonwhites,[4] taking ideas from social Darwinism and Nazism.[7] Both subgroups generally avoid the term supremacy because it has negative connotations.[8]

viewing the American Civil War as an honorable struggle for the Southern way of life,[1] while minimizing or denying the central role of slavery.

I think most people are smart enough to see the trend.

Thats not what was reported in the CNN article.
It specifically says its a march against all fringe groups from Antifa to Neo-Nazis.
Im guessing their incuding Antifa is what makes this a white nationalist rally.

The attempt to lump all Trump supporters into one Nationalist Alt-Right movement has been going on since before he was elected and calling the March for Google rally a " White Nationalist " rally is no different

You and your ilk can continue to call anyone and everyone a racist who dared vote against you and you and your ilk will continue to lose elections

It appears as though the news headline was changed to this: "The far right is planning 9 rallies nationwide this weekend alone"

It's so hard to keep track of all the different labels being tossed around:

nazi's. Yeah, bad.
neo-nazi's. new bad is still bad.
white supremacist. if you think your race is better than another, you are bad.

(insert color) nationalists. Not sure why CNN changed the title away from this unless far right means worse, or better than (insert color) nationalist.

What does that cheap shot have to do with my comment? Oh wait - its a chance to attack me. :doh:roll: Got it. I can play too.

Were you in Virginia this last weekend passing out those helmets and shields to the nazi's ... being the big bad bold dangerous macho man you apparently are?

If whataboutism and deflection could earn a Pulitzer, your post just might qualify. Observing that a family is harboring someone with a drinking and gambling problem isn't tying the Fredo to the rest of the family, it's just a statement of fact. The real problem is when the family covers up the problem in their midst and circles the wagons around him rather than holding a much needed intervention session for him. So you can either turn around and deal with the White Supremacist problem in the Republican party, or you can lash out at everybody else who makes that observation. You can certainly choose the latter, but it won't make the White Supremacist problem go away.

Two fathers who identified theirs sons at the Charlottesville actually disowned them. Here's one of their statements:

"I, along with all of his siblings and his entire family, wish to loudly repudiate my son's vile, hateful and racist rhetoric and actions," Pearce wrote in a letter posted on Inforum. "We do not know specifically where he learned these beliefs. He did not learn them at home."

Pearce said it was causing his family "heartbreak and distress" that Pete had decided to unlearn what he’s been taught and spew hate.

"My son is not welcome at our family gatherings any longer. I pray my prodigal son will renounce his hateful beliefs and return home," the 69-year-old father wrote. "Then and only then will I lay out the feast."

Republicans need to unite and disown White Supremacism instead of continuing to twiddle their thumbs and pretend that the problem lies elsewhere.

Although this deals with the President's reaction, it's still an excellent start because it comes from the Republican Party's own mouthpiece:

I think most people are smart enough to see the trend.

Most people see this for what it is, the continued tantuming of a bunch of people who lack the emotional maturity to deal with a election loss.

Oh, and you should run with that theory, that all Conservatives are in some way form or fassion inherently racist.

or maybe because the Nazi's were far left, not far right. could that be it genius? Their voting record was pretty much in line with the communists voting record in Germany. Were the communists far right as well?

Great. Antifa will show up for a rumble, someone will end up getting killed, the marchers will get 100% of the blame. Trump will condemn it while the liberal media hangs him all over again. fun times we live in.

Preemptive hypothetical victim card. Again...

Looks like they are trying to ramp it up. This may not end well.

White nationalists are planning 9 rallies nationwide this weekend alone

Major cities across the country are bracing for a wave of white nationalist rallies in the coming days.

The largest scheduled rally is the "March on Google," which will take place in nine major US cities Saturday. The aim is to protest the firing of Google employee James Damore over a controversial memo he wrote about the company's diversity policies. Damore has said he doesn't support the "alt-right," and will "likely not" participate.
The "March for Google" rallies are scheduled to take place at these Google locations around the country:

  • Atlanta
  • Austin
  • Boston
  • Los Angeles
  • Mountain Park, California
  • New York
  • Pittsburgh
  • Seattle
  • Washington, D.C.

Deciding to call the #MarchOnGoogle a right-wing extremist event is simply a blatant lie. It is precisely pure BS stories like this that have folks calling CNN a 'fake news' organization.

#MarchOnGoogle – Google is an anti-free speech monopoly

And the Left needs to disavow violent hate groups like BLM and Antifa instead of pretending that theyre not part of the problem.
They can start by taking responsibillity for that Sanders supporter that went hunting for GOP Congressmen
You can disavow Sanders while your at it, he's just as much to blame for that shooting as Trump is for the lunatic at the Charlotte rally

Preemptive hypothetical victim card. Again...

Still waiting Rob.
Is the March for Google a White nationalist rally or not ?

The mods on DP haven't given me special administrative powers. You have as much of an ability to start your own thread as I do.

I dont need to start a new thread to point out your or anyone else's hypocrisy, and Im curious as to why CNN is calling " March for Google " a White nationalist rally ?

Its a great example of why so many Americans consider them to be fake news
