A Charlottesville man who was savagely attacked over the weekend by a group of white supremacists wielding metal poles has taken to social media to share photos of his horrifying wounds.

Deandre Harris, 20, and a group of his friends went to Emancipation Park Saturday to counter-protest white nationalists and other right-wing groups who had descended on the park to protest the removal of the local confederate monuments.

Harris said he was pepper sprayed and had racist remarks hurled at him within minutes of his arrival.

He then was brutally attacked inside a parking garage by a group of white supremacists.

The car ramming incident wasn't the only one in Charlottsville over the weekend. At least 3 Nazi cowards surrounded Deandre Harris, and as Harris struggled to get away, beat him with iron pipes, breaking his wrist, breaking a tooth, cutting open his head, which required several, staples to close, and giving him a number of other injuries. It is clear that they were attempting to beat him to death.

The good news is that one of those attackers has now been identified, and he will be going to prison for a very long time.... Maybe not so long if he turns on his partners in crime, identifies them, and testifies against them.

Am now waiting for someone to claim "It's the black guy's fault", which should happen in 3...2...1................

There was violence on both sides. ANYONE involved in ANY of the violence should be arrested.

People like you can't comprehend that White Nationalism it itself is appalling. This isn't about simple violence. Those people marching in the streets are deplorable. White Nationalism should be condemned in itself. It's not a matter of getting violent or not.

So is Antifa. Nazis, anarchists, and communists are equally unpalatable choices. Their violence makes it worse.

San Jose, where people were assaulted for attending a political rally for a politician running for office.
Berkley, where people were rallying for a politician elected to office.
These things weren't "white supremacist" rallies.

Then a ****ing congressman was shot just a few weeks ago, for political reasons.

I don't recall the Jews as having been roving bands of psychopaths who feel entitled to decide at the end of a baseball bat or club who does or doesn't have the right to excercise civil liberties and believe they have a right to maim or kill anyone to the right of Stalin. So that's a false equivalence. I'm not going to heap praise on any side when violent anarchists, communists, and Nazis are assaulting each other in the street. I'm also not going to empathize with any of those people when they go boo-hooing to the media after losing a fight they started.

Just watched a video of the lead up to his assault.
His group started it.

They attacked at least one of the "supremacists" with a bat and knocked him out cold.
They attacked several other people as well.

There really is no equivalence when it comes to what happened in Charlottesville. I've been pretty open about disagreeing with Antifa's more aggressive tactics, but breaking a few windows is nothing compared to murder. It's pretty sick that people spew the "both sides do it" argument at this point.

Nonsense - the homicidal act of a single bigoted moron does not transfer to all that share their political views. Note that Antifa was violent many hours before that single senseless act.

One does not have to be considered 'just swell' to not deserve to be considered violent by association/affiliation. It is interesting that you now seem to have joined the 'both sides did it' team. ;)

That's just ignorant. This has nothing to do with Trump. This was a battle between two extremes--the fascists and the Marxists. I say let them beat the ****out of one another.
