I'm going to be honest. I hate Nazis. I always have and I always will. I don't support hurting or killing Nazis, but I also don't support pretending like a Nazi running down a bunch of protesters is the equivalent of some people throwing piss bombs on other people. It is nowhere near the same level. The murderer at this rally was not some lone wolf that made white supremacists look bad. He was an active member.

Who is "we"? One of the major problems with the 'war on terror' idea is in the identification of enemy combatants - if "we" simply knew who the Islamic terrorists were then they could be destroyed in short order.

If a mob of Muslims carrying ISIS flags had invaded a town, attacked and murdered people, and fought police, people would have been demanding a goddamned airstrike, not riot police.

Exactly. Antifa is a new group that wouldn't even exist without the klan or skinheads. The Klan and nazi's by comparison... they have a loooong history that is extremely bloody. The other false equivalence I've seen on this forum is to try to tie antifa to marxism so that they can then stain antifa with stalin. It's a rather pathetic display.

I thought Nazis really were the line. We can disagree about nearly everything, but everyone knows Nazis are evil. 2017 is absolutely crazy.

It still boggles my mind that the city was either so incompetent, naïve, or indifferent to the realities of what was going to happen allowing the two protests to function in the same place with all the rhetoric and talk of violence that has been going on between them. Why they allowed for the permitting of two clearly protests that were clearly antagonistic to each other for the same general location in the city without any clear barrier...be it physical, geographical, or police...between them is just insanity.

But this is to be expected by someone who has willfully and gleefully acknowledged an abandonment of any principle, any honesty, any integrity as it relates to political discussions.

Anyone breathing, with an ability to read, and an ounce of intellectual honesty understand and recognizes there has been and is violent elements within all spectrums of the political divide and declaring that it is solely the venue of one side is ludicrous.

The city tried to move the rally to a different location but a judge issued an injunction the night before to prevent it.

A thousand police and national guard more often than not, waited and watched while the fascist thugs attacked the counter protesters, then moved in to clear up.

White nationalism is appalling no one is denying this. What is also appalling is ANTIFA and thier fascist violence against anyone who disagrees with them, not just racists. That should be condemned as well.
