President Trump is facing heated criticism over not publicly condemning white nationalists for inciting this weekend’s bloody confrontation in Charlottesville, Va., but on Monday he criticized the head of Merck pharmaceuticals for quitting a federal panel in protest of Mr. Trump’s equivocal response to the violence.

This really grinds my gears. More condemnation against a black CEO than against white supremacists? Trump ought to be ashamed of himself.

Trump removed White Supremacists from the group the United States recognizes as terrorists back in February. This shouldn't be surprising.

WASHINGTON/SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - The Trump administration wants to revamp and rename a U.S. government program designed to counter all violent ideologies so that it focuses solely on Islamist extremism, five people briefed on the matter told Reuters.

The program, "Countering Violent Extremism," or CVE, would be changed to "Countering Islamic Extremism" or "Countering Radical Islamic Extremism," the sources said, and would no longer target groups such as white supremacists who have also carried out bombings and shootings in the United States.

Me as well, but at some point we have to pay attention to what he does and recognize the obvious here. Given the political environment, it's not possible to be a better friend of white supremacy than Donald Trump has been since early in the campaign. Every opportunity he proves this to us.

I don't know what he believes himself, but it doesn't matter. His actions are what matters and based on his actions these vermin believe they have a friend in the WH.

Saw that months ago.

And guess what? In response, many mosques stopped working with the federal program that gathers information on possible terrorist activities within mosques!

1st I heard of it. But it does show a distinctive pattern of focusing on 1 group for terror attacks. Guess he did not bother with the FBI/LEO listing home grown Militias as at or near the top for domestic threats.

https://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/16/opinion/the-other-terror-threat.html

In a survey we conducted with the Police Executive Research Forum last year of 382 law enforcement agencies, 74 percent reported anti-government extremism as one of the top three terrorist threats in their jurisdiction; 39 percent listed extremism connected with Al Qaeda or like-minded terrorist organizations. And only 3 percent identified the threat from Muslim extremists as severe, compared with 7 percent for anti-government and other forms of extremism.

What an incredible child....

Between this, he irrational escalation of our conflict with North Korea and the ongoing Trump corruption investigation, one wonders how serious the discussion has been amongst cabinet members about the 25th amendment.

I am sure it has been discussed and most of them have considered their personal red lines. One wonders how close we are to those various red lines.

Trump is absolutely despicable.

No two-ways about it! :doh

Trump has had countless opportunities to condemn W Sum, Neo Nazis, attacks on US Muslims.
Why does he have such a hard time condemning these groups/attacks- Is he a bigot/racist?
He has no problem condemning Islamic terror attacks in the US.
A young Muslim girl was recently murdered, did he condemn that?
The Mosque bombing, did he condemn that?

Did he condemn these attacks? If so, how long did it take?

trump will never criticize the hate groups that make up his birther base ...

SpaceX CEO & Merck CEO both resigned from an advisory council. Trump only attacked one. I wish I could tell why just by looking at them.

In practical terms, how does he condemn a critical component of his base?

Two more CEO's just quit Trump's advisory panel....

"...Brian Krzanich, C.E.O. of Intel — one of the most important global manufacturers of computer chips — announced his departure from President Trump’s advisory council on manufacturing in a late-night blog post on Monday...

Kevin Plank, the founder and chief executive of athletic apparel maker Under Armour, who also announced his decision on Monday evening...."

Others have, why can he not? And yesterday was IMHO, to late.

So, leftist CEOs quit working with the President to help America for selfish personal ideological reasons...shocking.

And we shouldn't neglect to mention Trump's tweat.

“Now that Ken Frazier of Merck Pharma has resigned from President’s Manufacturing Council, he will have more time to LOWER RIPOFF DRUG PRICES!” the president wrote at 8:54 a.m., as he departed his golf resort in Bedminster, N.J., for a day trip back to Washington.

How presidential!
