Judge orders State Dept. to search state.gov accounts for Clinton aides' Benghazi emails
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...counts-for-clinton-aides-benghazi-emails.html

A federal judge has ordered the State Department to search the “state.gov” email accounts of Hillary Clinton aides Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills and Jacob Sullivan for records related to Benghazi, as part of a watchdog’s Freedom of Information Act lawsuit.

U.S. District Judge for the District of Columbia Amit Mehta made the call Tuesday, describing the FOIA lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch in March 2015 as “a far cry from a typical FOIA case.”
I'm surprised state.gov wasn't searched already. Let's get it done.

It must be surreal being a Fox News consumer. Every day is pre-November, 2016, and Clinton is still running for President. Do they even know that Trump is President now?

Are you saying this judge overstepped his authority?

How did you get that from my post?

That's why I composed an interrogative statement.

Lock her up!
Build the Wall!
Repeal and replace!

Spin your wheels!
In reverse!

Although I'm sure that Fox and many others are motivated by politics, this has nothing (for me anyway) to do with Trump or even Clinton as a person. So far there are still dozens of unanswered questions and dozens of contradicting accounts by the parties involved. We need to know what happened - everything - regardless of who did it, or to which party they belong.

I discussed this in threads way back when and even before Clinton was testifying - I have friends that were on aircraft on their way to Benghazi. Some landed in Tripoli and others were diverted in-flight to Cairo West and all were told to stand down because it was over, and the timelines show that the Ambassador was not dead yet and the attack was not over. That has been testified to under oath to Congress in closed session, but it hasn't been released publically in it's entirety, and a hell of a lot of other facts haven't been released publicly.

If the US government intentionally failed our people causing a US Ambassador and other US citizens to die, and then lied about it to cover it up after the fact, especially since by all indications to date that if so they got away with it unscathed, then Congress (we the people) need to do whatever it takes to prevent the same from occurring again, no matter who may try or to what party they belong.

This goes beyond politics for me. I'm still very intent to find out the truth, and that's part of Congress' Constitutional Duty. To tell them to stop trying to find the answers and to just let it die, is to be the one to take a purely political position (not saying that that's what you're doing).

I would feel just as strongly if the events had occurred under the same circumstances under a Republican administration.

And what is the import of this, versus the current revaluations going on with Mueller et al?

Mueller's investigation is just as important, but the answer to what is the import of this court ruling, to me anyway, was described by me in post 10.

Probably they do.

Yeah. I'm not denying justice should not be done where appropriate.

It just seems like Trump and his supporters have an overt propensity to jump on Clinton or Obama, as a way to detract from or obfuscate the President's and his cohort's shortcomings.

They can search all they want, but good luck getting anything to stick to a Clinton.

We need to get the Russians involved in this.

If you want to see her state.gov emails, knock yourselves out. But after seven investigations and seeing Clinton's face at the top of Fox News every time I visit thereby relegating news of the current President to vague headlines, a litany of stories of her failing health, conspiracy theories about her killing people and all the way down to the perfectly petty by making fun of her pantsuits, it's a little difficult to ignore the possibility that Hillary Clinton has simply become the Republicans' Emmanuel Goldstein.

I could have shoved more examples in there, but that paragraph is already unwieldy as it is.

Yeah I see that, too. But it isn't unique to Trump supporters. Obama and his hard core supporters blamed everything on Bush for years. Some still do.

Yes but one assumes they hate her just like you hate Trump. Tit for tat. Duelling investigations. Seems easy for me to understand.

I want Congress and the public (like Judicial Watch and others) to see them to try to finally get the answers and the truth and do what is required to prevent it in the future.

Conflating what I said in my post with CT bull**** is fundamentally unfair and I don't deserve that. I wouldn't do that to you.

Must be harder being a CNN/MSNBC/ABC/HoffingtonPost/NewYorkTimes/DailyKos/etc. where nearly every day post-November 2016 everything is about Russia and anti-Trump spin. Pre-November it was all about how Hillary really isn't "that bad" and "Trump is worse."

Fake news- Hillary was elected in that special world many reside in

Which as it turns out was pretty dead on.

nope we are forcing people to be consistent in their argument. which happens to be a huge problem right now.
you can't deny that one did no wrong doing and then when someone else does the same thing want to hang them from a tree.

it doesn't work that way.

I find it difficult to believe Trey Gowdy didn't turn over every rock trying to find something, anything, to hang Hillary on.

But I have no problem with the judge's order. I voted for neither Hillary nor Trump. Both are horrible, albeit in their own different ways.

I don't think this is an either/or. They are completely unrelated matters.

I have long suspected that Hillary used her @clinton.com email as a means to conduct her affairs while SOS. This is illegal and I don't think that she should get off the hook just because she lost an election.

Meh... the people listed in the OP who are being targeted would have long since destroyed anything incriminating that they might have received from her anyway. My guess is that this goes nowhere.

Benghazi IS CT bull****. It's been beaten to death eight damn times. That's why all investigations moved on to the emails.

Fact-checking Benghazi: The rhetoric hasn't matched up with reality | PolitiFact

Benghazi was in the end exactly what is seemed to be: a complete ****show, with everybody in the White House looking awful because their responses to a travesty were all over the map. But the idea that Obama ordered a stand-down and let them die is all CT.

So we're on to the emails, because hey, why not. But if nothing is found in the state.gov accounts, it will be something else: Clinton will continue to get daily front page coverage on Fox News because she is, again, Emmanuel Goldstein for Republicans.
