Obviously a unified world where we share enough interaction and custom and trade that makes it near impossible for anyone to seriously consider war, is the most profitable AND the most peaceful approach.
I'm always dismayed when conservative types ridicule the ideas of the globalization, the idea of the UN, etc., as it relates to trying to prevent the need for most of it.
I think it's like gun control though, you can have nukes if you're a responsible nation. NK just doesn't fit that bill. But it's a much bigger issue than that, with a lot more stakeholders. They are big ongoing problems for a reason I suppose.
But it is INCREDIBLY hypocritical of America - who has thousands of nukes - to not want/allow others who don't have them, to develop them.Either America gets rid of theirs (a bad idea) or she should not complain when other countries want them as well.
