Watch out "mainstream media," there may be a new source in town to combat "fake news": a program starring President Trump's daughter-in-law.

In a video posted on the president's Facebook page, Lara Trump, wife of Trump son Eric Trump, stars as the anchor in a vlog-style video.

"I bet you haven't heard about all of the accomplishments the president had this week because there's so much fake news out there," Lara Trump said in the beginning of the video.

However, the list that she runs through is full of stories that have made it into many media outlets in recent weeks, such as the president donating his salary to the Department of Education, the stock market hitting new highs and Foxconn announcing a new Wisconsin plant that could create 13,000 new manufacturing jobs.

Why? Just why? I really don't get how Trump and co thinks this was the way to go. Boggles the mind.

To be fair, IMO most of the stories mentioning these types of points are heavily editorialized to either minimize accomplishments or claim this is leftover prosperity from the Obama Administration.

In any case, why should it matter if this minor propaganda effort exists? It's not like it's going to make any points with the anti-Trump true believers, will it? :shrug:

It doesn't matter that it exists, I'm wondering why they did it. Because you're right, it won't change anyone's mind. All I see this doing is giving his opponents an example of propaganda, not even good propaganda at that. To me this is an unforced error. There had to be one guy somewhere at some point that stopped and said to the President, this may not give you the optics your after...

Lyin mostly, fidelity to TRUTH ain't what it used to be, Trump and those tens of millions of Americans who like him are an existential threat, and the ends justify the means now.

Yes!! Let's make a bet on this. I bet that one accomplishment will not be mentioned..... Trump has taken more vacation days in 7 months than Obama took in 8 years. Trumpanzees were outraged at Obama's vacations. Where is the outrage now? Perhaps Trump's new **cough** honest **cough** news channel will make this the lead story? :mrgreen:

NOTE: I think they got their idea for what news is from North Korea. LOL.
