Trump argues he won New Hampshire because it is a 'drug-infested den'

Because mexico is sending all their muderers and drugs and rapists right?

One cannot construct when the only tool they know is to destruct.

True or False: Illegal Drugs are coming into the US from the southern border.

True or False: Nearly 80% of Central American women trying to make it to America are raped. It is so bad that many take contraceptives before heading to America because they know the likelihood of it happening.

You need to look in the mirror and say that over and over. :lamo

I busted you flat out lying. So who the hell are you?

You should start a thread on that topic. I'll be here discussing this one.

You were the one that brought it up........

There are plenty if things worthy of being outraged about Trump over, there is no need to take his words out of context to get upset.

Tell that to the republican governor of New Hampshire.

"It's disappointing his mischaracterization of this epidemic ignores the great things this state has to offer," the Republican governor said.

Is he taking trump out of context?

He appears to be, it's even possible he is simply being a politician and fears that enough if his constituents would take offense so is separating himself completely from it. It is a win/win for him because he comes off as standing up for his state even if those comments are taken out of context.

Maybe he...did? I mean...win because New Hampshire is a drug infested den?

"The CDC report also included death certificate data for opioid overdoses in 28 states, finding that 16 saw a jump in death rates from synthetic opioids including illicit fentanyl. New York (135.7 percent), Connecticut (125.9 percent) and Illinois (120 percent) were the hardest hit. As for heroin deaths, 11 states had increases, with South Carolina (57.1 percent), North Carolina (46.4 percent) and Tennessee (43.5 percent) seeing the biggest spike.

The Northeast has been hit especially hard by the drug crisis, with New Hampshire among those suffering the most. Just this year, overdose deaths were expected to top 500. The state’s congressional delegation was among those supporting a bill that would provide $1 billion in funding to states to fight heroin and opioid abuse."

When the GOP was campaigning in New Hapshire, the opioid epidemic was a top shelf topic. Trump did address the problem of addiction. So...is it really that much a stretch to suggest that the reason people voted for him in New Hampshire might have been because he was willing to address it as a problem?

So sure...theres probably many other great things in New Hampshire (with a booming drug epidemic I would imagine low cost hookers might be readily available as well). But that doesnt mean its not a significant problem. Would the mayor of Chicago object that its been pointed out they have a massive crime problem? If its a problem, who are they trying to fool by not directly addressing it?

I'm more annoyed that he lied about winning New Hampshire. Honestly, many of the people that voted for Trump view the United States as an almost dystopian society anyways so I don't think this will make waves at all. It'll just be another offense thing he said to the majority of the country.

Hillary Clinton - Democrat - 348,526 - 46.8% - 4 electoral votes
Donald J. Trump - Republican - 345,790 - 46.5 - 0

He was referring to the republican primary I believe

^---- This most likely. Having kept up with the Republican Primary a bunch, I remember Trump brought up the drug thing a bunch while in New Hampshire and leading up to that primary, and I think even when referring to that primary after his victory there.

Trump [of course] wasn't specific. From the article...

Trump did, in fact, win the Republican primary in New Hampshire, more than doubling the vote total received by his nearest competitor, Ohio Gov. John Kasich. Trump, however, narrowly lost the state to Democrat Hillary Clinton in the general election.

The governor of Illinois might not appreciate Trump calling his state a cesspool of crime or something like that. I wouldn't like Trump calling my state, West Virginia, a drug infested den. Either way, it is one of less offensive things Trump has said so I don't see why it is supposed to be a big deal.

The first step to healing is admitting you have a problem.
