Trump signs what he calls ‘seriously flawed’ bill imposing new sanctions on Russia

Re: Trump signs what he calls ‘seriously flawed’ bill imposing new sanctions on Russi

Nothing Trump says can be taken as his word. Even his own words mean nothing to him. Hence, a thoroughly confused staff.

We know Bush & Co were pathological liars, and now it appears The Donald has the same character trait. For that matter so did Our Man Barack.

Maybe it's something in the paint in the White House?

When it comes to the Kremlin, the US Congress overwhelmingly distrusts the pro-Russia Trump and the many administration officials that have secretly met with Russian operatives. If the bill is "seriously flawed" and "unconstitutional" as Trump claims, why did he willingly sign the bill? Trump took an oath on 20 January 2017 to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

If Trump felt that strongly about it then he shouldn't have signed it. Because as president it's his job to sign for bills he agrees with and to veto bills he disagrees with. Screw what the tin foil hat brigandage would have said if Trump didn't sign it. They will still accuse him of being a puppet for Russia, saying Russia helped him win the elections or some other loony leftist lib-tard nonsense.

If he vetoed it, Congress would over-ride it and he couldn't take another embarrassment.

He could have vetoed it and then threaten to sue if it was passed if he believed the bill was unconstitutional and a bad deal. Because he might have ruined his ability to sue to get it overturned and made himself look worse by signing a bill he said he believes in unconstitutional.

"Lying politician" is a redundant term. We can only, like voting for the lesser of two evils, recognize the degrees to which they go in their lying and not give equivalence to them all as the same. Trump is incapable of telling the truth. For the most part, politicians say what they do knowing a future explanation of the otherwise via the strategy of plausible deniability.
