Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump drove out his chief of staff on Friday, replacing Reince Priebus with Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly in an explosive move that ends a turbulent six-month tenure.
"The President wanted to go a different direction," Priebus told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room" Friday evening. "A president has a right to hit a reset button. I think it's a good time to hit the reset button. I think he was right to hit the reset button."

My apologies if this was already posted, but I didn't see it here....I think this is a good move...Everyone knows that although Prebius seemed to change his tune for Trump when he was appointed, he still represented the 'Jeb Bush' wing of the Republican party, and as such could be seen as an anti Trumper right up the end, when Trump won....I think that in this time in our country with the division between 'progressives' whether democrat, or republican, and regular working American's that want less government intrusion, Prebius was the wrong pick for CoS, and it is a good thing he is out and someone with some command of presence can hopefully bring some order to the West Wing.

If you really listen and tilt your ears towards DC, you can almost hear the band playing "Nearer My God, to Thee".

Nobody here expected you to criticize anything a Republican administration does.

/thread.

Id like to see Sessions moved to Kellys Homeland slot, and Ted Cruz or someone who will rein in Muller and keep him between the lines of his charter, and is a strong law and order presence, and will appoint a prosecutor for the Clinton cartel, Lynch, and Comey.

Yes, really. Nobody here thinks you'll criticize the administration for publicly blasting administration staff and the firing them. Nobody here thinks you'll ever criticize anything this administration does no matter how ridiculously vulgar it gets. You're in for 4 years of public denial about what these things mean, followed by what are probably 4 years of whining because an iPod was given to the queen or some other such nonsense.

Which part are you confused by?

Priebus actually represented the Scott Walker/Paul Ryan wing of the GOP. He was the Chair of the Wisconsin Republican Party, leading them to a complete takeover of Wisconsin Politics .

Priebus was one of the architects of REDMAP 2010 that led to the GOP's nationwide sweep in 2010 and 2014. The GOP owes him more than they'll ever know .

He's still establishment that worked against Trump in the campaign...He was put in that position because of a deal, or maybe an extended olive branch to those against him in the campaign I don't know, but clearly he was a rather weak CoS, and needed to go.

He was weak because he was stabbed in the back by the trump family wing and the Bannon wing.

Priebus is actually more dangerous to Democrats now, as he'll go back to doing what he does best, win elections .

Then it was a good move....

You don't know that. That is just your hate-fueled speculation. No matter what happens you blame Trump and Bannon, or Bannon and Bannon. More likely than not he just wasn't that good at the position. The only people Trump seems to admire and listen to are generals. He needed one to run the White House and he got one.
