Funny how you don't present any opinion of your own in a thread you started and instead just celebrate what you think it will do to your political opposition.

Its so hard to take trumpettes seriously on the political front when all you guys seem to want to do with political power is settle scores or bludgeon others rather than lead at all in any particular direction.

That pretty much is the only conviction he has. Trump can't pass legislation or make any big policy changes, but he can do a few superficial things like this here and there to rile up his bigoted base.

Yeah, Trump touched a rainbow flag once so his more moderate voters thought he actually would stand up for equal rights. They're not a smart bunch.

He did state an opinion. Apparently you don't agree with it. My guess is that he is probably right.
 
I can understand the reasoning behind not allowing people to undergo the procedure while in uniform since the military has to carry the cost, but transgender is a pretty broad term: what about those already serving? There's a transgender LT in my brigade headquarters, is she going to be kicked out?

Um... no he didn't. He had no opinion on his own topic. And no, it doesn't send me into orbit because I know trump is a stupid man and I fully expect such stupid things from him. So this comes as no surprise.

We certainly don't want to get into the position of having to pay for the operations and medicines, do we? And isn't one of the symptoms a high preponderance of suicide? But all said, I think that maybe we should look at the statistics and we do allow women in. And they don't compete with the boys in sports leaving a nagging concern in the back of the mind for women on or behind enemy lines.

There is the potential for a big issue here. Since the military provides service members full medical coverage it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect people in transition to join the military primarily to facilitate (read "subsidize") the sex change treatment. That's not what the military is for.

Isn't medical coverage part of the compensation for service? Are you saying that some who would have this type of medical procedure do not serve?

Welcome to the partisan trumpeteer. It's not about debate, there's really none to be had. There's no arguments or defense, there's not much that can be mustered. Besides being yucky people that most GI's would not want to serve with the proceedure is expensive and time consuming

They are no use to the military for about 2 years
