Tillerson may make early exit from State Department: report

Would you rather have Pence as your president?

Yes.* At least he is competent and presidential. He could actually do the job without making everything about him.

* - though I would reserve the right to blast him daily on his neanderthal policies.... I don't know about you, but I would much rather be debating policy than talking about the sick man-child that has the nuclear codes.

You may get your wish eventually. Trump can't burn bridges this early and expect to have anyone stand by him for 4 years. I'm referring to Sessions comments of late. This isn't the Apprentice where you fire everyone and things still work out swell in the end.

I am a big believer that Trump is gone before the mid-terms. I have been saying that since January.

The reality TV star is about to meet reality.

If so, it'd be a massive victory for establishment politicians, as Trump and Sanders represented a real departure from the norm. If the GOP had had its way, November would have ended up as Clinton Mark II vs Bush Mark III.

My hope was that Trump would tone down the rhetoric once in office, and at least not give his critics such easy ammo. I mean, how hard is it to not use Twitter, or throw your AG under the bus? He's coming across like a total rube.

The problem with the Trump movement is that people had the right war with the wrong general. The Trump message was actually pretty good. The Trump politician, however, was very bad. People heard the message, but overlooked the obvious faults of the guy championing the message.

You follow the wrong general into the right war, you are going to get slaughtered. Because of that slaughter, the "right movement" is going to be set back.
