This happened too quickly after the trump admin went on their smear attack of Mueller. I suspect a Deep Throat on Mueller's staff .
 
You know, I'm wondering:

Can Trump wait until Congress leaves for recess in a couple weeks, the appoint a recess appointment who fires Mueller?

Scary stuff, with our bootlicker spineless GOP Congress!

Maybe he doesn't actually have all that much leverage? I don't know. He did give up a safe Senate seat for this gig, though. Don't forget that.

I was sure Trump knew it was coming months ago, but ya, he is getting ready. I might be wrong that he will willingly walk away when he has had enough...He looks like he has no intention of ever leaving, no matter what.

My belief it that Trump couldn't care less about Sessions; it's Mueller he wants gone, and with Sessions recused, Sessions can no longer help Trump out. Therefore, he needs an AG who works for Trump, not the constitution or the American people. One analyst said he personally thought today's leak came directly from a WH that was positively stunned that Sessions didn't resign after Trump crucified him in the NYT.

Perhaps they're in a hurry to push Sessions out hoping for a recess appointment of a new AG without facing confirmation while the congress is on vacation. AG fires Mueller in August, bim-bam-bong, Trump's problem is solved. (He thinks)

I'll tell you what, to my eyes it looks like Trump is openly working to antagonize the entire Elite Corps, as if he knows the impeachment is coming and he watches these idiots keep over reaching and he has decided to encourage more of that.

The revelation that Mueller is probing the finances of his criminal empire seems to have really spooked Trump.

I'm completely blown away by the leaks out of this White House.

With everyone appearing before Congress or worried they may be next, and with everyone having lawyers, who knows what really may be going-on inside?

BTW - Anderson Cooper just announced that Jr. & Manaforte just cut deals to avoid subpoenas from the Senate intel committee to publicly appear Wednesday, by agreeing to a private non-sworn meeting. That sounds to me like "let's make a deal behind closed doors".

I'm really pissed-off the GOP cut a deal to do this secretively!

I agree, that's how Donald rolls. When you serve his purposes, he loves you, when you no longer do, you've always been an asshole.

Everything should be about Donald and about what's in his best interest...that's just how he thinks. He seems to include family mostly in that too, but I have no doubt if any of them got too far out of line, he'd put them in their place too. And if he's really concerned about criminal findings...he damn sure wouldn't give a second thought to screwing over basically anyone and everyone...that's what any weak minded "betray" type person does
