White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has resigned over hiring of new com dir

He could handle Trump for a boss, but Scaramucci was too much. Huh.

Spicer was once "one of the gang" in the reporting community. I wonder if he'll be allowed back into the fold after lying nonstop to the press for six months.

Really, Spicy? Blatantly lying on a constant basis was A-OK for you, but a simple hiring disagreement was the straw that broke you?

SNL will miss him

Sean. Here's what you do: Walk out of the office. Get in the car. Drive until you hit water. Build a hut. Tend the earth. Just start over.

-Jon Lovett

Expect the hack Scaramucci to intimidate the media while doubling down on the Mueller attacks .

Best Tweet so far:

@Melissaroyale

Finally Spicer can come out from behind the bushes and disappear into the woods.

About a month ago many non Trump apologist posters here predicted Spicer would soon resign.

They were right.

He held out for months and months longer than anybody predicted. He obviously hated the hell out of his job.

Too bad we're not gonna hear Spicy drop anymore 'truth-bombs' on us.

Who cares? The press is just interested in gas lighting people for the democrats. I don't think the republicans should talk to the press at all except on paper.

Scaramuchi is in. He's a financial guy. Should get interesting. Change of emphasis, maybe?
Some background:

He is one of the most ardent Trump attack dogs, there is. Right up there with Giuliani.

So my advice, Sean:

Get over to CNN for those paid appearances while you can. Strike when the iron's hot, and try to land the longest contract you can get.

And take the highest paying book offer ...

Huh?

Remove more transparency?

True he is a supporter. Not sure a fair assessment would call him an "attack dog". People who are fair will call him even tempered even while disagreeing. He has done a good job at this when debating Chris Cuomo who is flogging for his brother who will be running for president in 2020.

He saw the writing on the wall:

- Huckabee got his press secy gig.

- Scaramucci got his com dir gig.

So what's left? Besides being abused by Trump?

Expect the hack Scaramucci to intimidate the media while doubling down on the Mueller attacks .

Here's a little insight on how he operates. A tweet from a few weeks ago where he said this:

Anthony Scaramucci‏Verified account @Scaramucci
"FBI clears Flynn in probe linking him to Russia | New York Post A Patriot cleared. Hopefully nonsense will end."

https://twitter.com/Scaramucci/status/879407511480131584

He then links to a JANUARY NY Post story, which was shown to be false.

I'll give your opinion consideration in the coming days.

But from what I saw of him during the campaign on CNN, he was very Giuliani-like.

Exactly.

Fair enough, I look forward to your view after watching him in action.
