The historical record shows that Trump publicly claimed nobody on his team met with Russians. However, we now know that his own son met with the Russians and either didn't bother to tell dad or dad knew already and was just lying to America. At the very least, one would have expected Junior to say, "Um, dad? I met with the Russians. Maybe you should set the record straight?" But they didn't. They continued to be sneaky and coverup what they did with endless lies upon lies.

You know the saddest thing is this is the new normal

Investigate away, the precedent is sadly there.

You know though the ironic thing is this is all based on the claim the “leaks” were possible hacks and hence illegitimate. So lets conduct an overreaching probe (unless of course, there is a solid case behind closed doors and he just gathering more evidence) which is basically just a legal hack so your actually create the exact dynamic your investigating for being improper, but it all okay because FBI and legal channels.

Anyway, I understand President Trump just wanting to get on with business and putting this in the rearview. I can’t imagine being slandered as much as he has been. I suppose though we all dream that being president is a rather glamorous job when in reality its living in the swamp being blamed for the countries problems as you beg politicians to improve the state and line up for photo ops. President Trump will always have my respect for taking that over the billionaire lifestyle. I suppose to some that is why it must seem so suspicious. :screwy

Clearly, some members of the Trump cult don't realize that the 'drain the swamp' rhetoric was an election ploy, and nothing more. After the election, Trump put on his cabinet the same bankers that he ridiculed as members of the swamp; engaged in the crony capitalism that he raged about and did nothing to help the down-on-their-luck voters that put him over the top.

Those Trump cultists are so gullible.

He has not given up the billionaire lifestyle, if he had wanted to do that he would have to sell off or place all his buissness's and financial holdings in a blind trust and have nothing to do with anything related to his business's or his real estate empire.

4 people died in a conflict zone. It was not exactly earth shattering news nor a scandal. Calling it a terrorist attack was also a farce.... but hey, it gave the Cons something to do for a few years, since it they had no legislative ideas.... and, ultimately, all of these shenanigans let to the Hillary email scandal, which led to Trump's election, which brought us to where we are today: the 2016 Russian entanglement scandal, the granddaddy of all scandals.

So, I guess you could say, if the Cons can't find a scandal, they can always create one.

Trump* has no one to blame for his pathetic approval numbers than Trump himself. He can't get ahead of the story, because he can't manage the press. His narcissism compels him to want to be the story so he does stupid things to stay in the middle of it. If he had any skill at PR, this would all be behind him and we could discuss his agenda....but he has no such skill nor desire to be anything but the story himself. Trump* did not run through the Republican primary telling us what a victim he was.
The idea of Trump* as a victim is rather novel. His most certain demise will be all of his fault.

The next presidential election is not until 2020, but right now I am looking forward to the 2017 elections in Virginia and New Jersey, and the 2018 midterms where the democrats have the chance to win back the house and actually bring some accountability to this rudderless administration.

Mac1978, Trump is a swamp creature. Mueller is not the employee of a police state. The House failure to pin anything on Clinton proves that. Let Mueller do his job.
