[h=1]Citing Recusal, Trump Says He Wouldn’t Have Hired Sessions[/h]
President Trump said on Wednesday that he never would have appointed Attorney General Jeff Sessions had he known Mr. Sessions would recuse himself from overseeing the Russia investigation that has dogged his presidency, calling the decision “very unfair to the president.”
There are to things that strike me here:

1) That's rather insulting for a president to say that he's sorry that he hired the guy who is now his Attorney General.
2) That Trump wouldn't hire Sessions, because he recused himself due to a conflict of interest. Really? DT really wanted a AG that would make decisions while having a direct conflict of interest. Why is it unfair to the president for the AG to recuse himself over Russia unless the president expected favorable treatment?

Trump also threatened to fire Mueller in this interview and has nasty things to say about him.

You just can't make this stuff up.

Yeah, I'd like to see the reporters full notes, and transcripts...Why is he even giving an interview to the NYT anyway...They are at the forefront of the anti Trump movement....:doh

I know that your first instinct is to call it "fake news," but it's a video.

lol...beat ya by 4 minutes.

Why? Because he recused himself from the Russian investigation. You can't make this stuff up.

Trump says he wouldn't have picked Sessions if he knew he'd recuse himself - CNNPolitics.com

OMG, am I actually going to find myself defending Jeff Sessions?

You have to consider the fact that The Donald has been conditioned, and been accustomed to, having like-minded, (read: Yes Men) in his presence and employ.

What we have here is a situation here, where a deep-sea tuna finds himself in a fresh-water aquarium.

I can't imagine how any other outcome could be expected.

Read the second sentence....Thanks.
You mean this from post #2? "They [The Times] are at the forefront of the anti Trump movement...."
Sir, the facts are in the forefront of the anti Trump movement and The Times publishes the facts.

I just posted a similar thread. Like I said in the thread, Trump is used to getting away with unethical behavior. Managing private companies, one is not subject to the oversight of a BOD or stockholders. He's used to being in complete control with the undying loyalty and discretion of his family and employees. In US government service, you're actually accountable to the country and don't have unbridled power. Sorry, Mr. Prez!

What Trump doesn't realize, is if he continues to undermine those he's appointmented, whatever loyalty to him they have left is going to go, "poof". If he's been upset about the leaking from his WH up 'till now, just wait! It's going to be a flood!

:doh Man your willful dissonance is just sad. This was the second sentence from post #2 "Why is he even giving an interview to the NYT anyway..."

Good grief.

He's trying to intimidate the AG. He's an idiot. Even if he fires them they'll go the way of Comey and sing like canaries about Trump's unethical behavior.

*Sigh.....Sing what? not knowing when to shut the hell up isn't illegal.

The continued leaks that have embarrassed his administration have come from within his own agencies and sometimes from within his own whitehouse.

"Sigh" yourself!

Yep....Lot's of holdovers left....probably by design.

Yep....Lot's of holdovers left....probably by design.

Bannon, Kushner, Prebus, and Spicey are not holdovers. My theory is they leak stuff to the press because it's well known that he won't take anyone's advice in person, but if he sees it on TV, he'll sometimes take heed.

I wonder if their tin foil hats are as thick as the one you are donning with this comment.

delirious tremors is ****ting himself over Mueller diving into his dirty laundry .

He gives a lot of interviews to the NYTimes. There's a theory that he has a certain fascination with Maggie Haberman.

I'd not give them the time of day if I were he.

Ad hom personal attack....typical with you.

When you drop in a thread standing on the shakey ground of unfounded conspiracies you should be expecting that your silly balloon will be popped. Glass houses ya know....

I'd not give them the time of day if I were he.

It is a little odd. Appearing in a Haberman article isn't exactly like appearing on Fox and Friends. She doesn't cushion anything he says or does, and yet she more or less has complete access to him.

delirious tremors is ****ting himself over Mueller diving into his dirty laundry .

Be nice if the people Muller surrounded himself with in this 'investigation' could be viewed as impartial, instead of former lawyers for the Clinton foundation and such....

Nah, that's just the way you roll.
