Finally, a Poll Trump Will Like: Clinton Is Even More Unpopular

I like how the only defense people really have for Trump is to point to Clinton.

lol

Not really in good company there

lol

That's because many voted for Trump because of Clinton. So in a round about way, if the Dems had a better candidate, he wouldn't be President right now. Haha! It's the Dems fault we have Trump for President. That's really funny.

I have yet to hear a democrat say "If Hillary had won, then ...." -- why? Because they accepted that they lost. Many have accepted that their candidate was too tarnished. They've moved on and are instead battling the existing political environment (Trump) instead of focusing on the past.

I constantly hear Republicans saying "But Hillary...." etc. They are focused on the election, on the past victory, as if that justifies every argument against the current political environment.

From what I see, Republicans are far more stuck on the election than Democrats.

To be fair, Hillary is usually mentioned when Trump is being criticized for doing the same thing. The same reason why Obama is brought up many times. It's not being stuck on the election, but more pointing out the hypocrisy.

Pointing out how Quebec has an over sized influence in Canadian politics is not an irrational hatred of Quebeckers. Are you suffering from an inferiority complex? If anything, my comments relate a certain level of respect for a province that has taken full advantage of circumstances and for 150 years has used the rest of Canada to pay its bills. Lack of shame, however, is not something I share with the average Quebecker and so I'm very troubled by the state of my province after 13 years of liberal destruction.

As for the votes of Californians, etc. counting for less, that's typical of the liberal mindset where you only believe that "the few" have rights when those rights jibe with the collective's view. The national will, both in the US and here in Canada, frequently is opposed to policies that liberals institute from the strength they gain in legislatures packed with members from those large liberal enclaves. It is only in the US Presidential elections where a more truly national will is exercised and liberals always get incredibly butt hurt when they lose.

Like I thought you only like the majority when it aligns with your views. Californians make up 1/10 of all Americans, they should have 1/10 of the say.

I don't disagree, Hillary was about the only person who could have lost to Trump.

Still the far-right's rabid defense of Trump seems to be centered around the "Well Clinton did it too" argument.

So, in terms of the democrat never ending temper tantrum over not winning the '16 election, the poll shows that even today, with all of the subterfuge, false narrative, and complete BS they are throwing at the wall about the President, Hillary would still loose today....lol....

Face it democrats, y'all put a loser up to run, and instead of accepting that, the best y'all can do is make the next 4 years a crap fest, whining, and crying about everything but what is important to the American people.

Democrats better get it together, else they'll continue to loose....

LOL....you Trumpettes are getting desperate for anything that resembles good news. Desperation isn't very flattering.....LOL

I completely disagree. most have not accepted that they lost. its just much harder for them to admit that Hillary was a terrible candidate than it is for them to attack Trump because attacks are what is familiar.

But the (electoral) votes have shown that America believed Trump was the better candidate. Why does Hillary need to come into the equation at all? Are Republicans incapable at defending the decisions that are being attacked? Or are they literally refusing to move forward unless Democrats agree to some odd terms, saying that they are happy that Trump won and Hillary lost? Like I said - it's not democrats who keep bringing Hillary up, it's Republicans.

And this isn't anti-Republican. As I recall, Democrats brought Bush up for the entire 8 years of Obama's terms. When something wasn't right, it was Bush's fault.

But the thing with Hillary is, she wasn't president. Trump's escalating failures cannot be pinned on Hillary. She's irrelevant at this point. I have to assume the deflection to Hillary is because that was Trump's most recent victory and Republicans are trying to find a wound to poor salt into rather than focusing on working out current issues with the Democrats.

So who's throwing this endless and epic temper tantrum ?
Bernie Supporters ? Trump supporters ?

That's the thing exactly. It's not who is throwing a tantrum, but rather, why are the Republicans making the accusations months after the tantrums have stopped?

Few are still throwing a tantrum that Hillary lost (though there were a large number of tantrums in the couple of months following the election). But it seems that often when the Democrats fight against the current administration, the Republican supporters flock to the line: "you're throwing a tantrum because Hillary lost." It's classic deflection. They're not even trying to connect dots. They aren't defending the current administration with this 'argument.' They seem to be latching on to the last R-win as if that justifies all his actions. Simply winning presidency doesn't give Trump free reign. We still need to monitor him and hold him accountable. Where are these deals he promised? Many democrats voted for him under the impression that he wouldn't strong arm the Republican agenda that he could make compromises and deals.

Hillary's popularity is irrelevant. Just as Romney's was during Obama's second term.

At this point, that's all they have. Once Trump slimes his way out of office...all they will ever have is "But he's not Hillary Clinton!".
It's all a smokescreen, a red herring, to detract from Trump's actions.

But they do have one legit claim: Trump won the election.

Sure - this is why the endless narrative has been how Clinton won the popular vote so she should be President and how the Russians stole the election for Trump and Clinton should be President. Sure, you've all gotten over it and moved on and the Republicans are the only ones talking about it.

Sometimes you have to wonder what collective hallucinogens progressives/liberals ingest on a daily basis.

That's the wrong narrative. The Russians DID meddle, but only to tarnish both candidates, not to mention undermine democracy in the United States, as well as other nations. Look at France. The Russians heavily meddled there too. Russia will stop at nothing in their attempt to replace the US with Russia as the world's major political player. Yes, the Russians meant to hurt Clinton, but they also mean to hurt Trump. That Trump doesn't see it speaks volumes about his ignorance.

1) I'm not a liberal.

2) I don't deny the existence of the dumb push to "end the electoral college", etc. etc. But those points have died out with time, after just a month or two. It's the normal "my feelings are hurt because my candidate lost" that both sides go into for a month or two.

3) The Russian meddling - I'm grateful the information got out there about Hillary. But I'm furious that a nation tried to influence our election, regardless of whether they were successful. I don't see the fight against the meddling as a fight to defend Hillary, but rather an attempt to keep our politics pure from foreign influence.

Today, however, the arguments against some of Trump's policy ideas are quite legitimate, as are the concerns that he and/or his campaign were willing to bring in the impurity of foreign interference into our democracy. This isn't about Hillary losing the election. It may be easier for Trump supporters to fight against that, since the battle is already won, but eventually you'll have to step up to the plate and discuss the issues that the democrats and concerned honest Americans are actually talking about. It's time for Republicans to stop deflecting and work with the rest of us. This hasn't been about Hillary for months.
Hear! Hear!

The tantrums havent stopped. Media outlets like MSNBC and CNN have been devoting over 90 percent of their programming since the election to Russian conspiracy theory lunacy.

This Left wing initiative to undermine a duly elected President and his agenda by any means necessary which was born out of this tantrum is still in full swing

And Trump doesnt have free reign, he and his promises are constrained by our Constituition, as they should be.

He cant on his own repeal ObamaCare, or build a wall, or cut taxes. For that he needs to the support of the GOP, and until they get their **** together those promises are going to continue to be unkept

I'm not much of a fan of that excuse, but I did think it was valid regarding getting info from a foreign govt. about the opposing candidate. Not that I want to hash that out here, but I did use it myself.

The fundamental with that is so many attacked Clinton for her lack of character, morality, and integrity so to appeal to her is to essentially say your guy lacks the same things. I don't disagree. Both are travesties of Corporate-State Status Quo fascism, neither have any real integrity or consistency. For the two of them, it's about wealth and power and letting their friends win. So there's not a whole lot of difference between Clinton and Trump, other than Trump is a bit more embarrassing.

But the "Clinton did it too" excuse is pretty piss poor and really just an acknowledgement that Trump is no better.

Yea... It's REALLY looking like a nothing burger now after the Trump Jr. email releases by the NY Times last week. Totally nothing to see here. The lying liberal press should have definitely not kept pushing for more info over the last 6 months. Clearly the Trump administration is 100% trustworthy since we haven't found out about any unreported meetings with Russian agents or anything during the campaign.

Give me a f'ng break.

Not that I disagree with some of the rest of your post, but why are conservatives as a whole seemingly arguing that her popular vote win is somehow less legitimate because she had big margins in some populous states? Of course states like California and New York, which combine to have about a fifth of the U.S. population are going to have a correspondingly large effect on the popular vote.

The popular vote doesn't matter, but I don't see why it's skewed by California or New York, or why that makes it somehow less legitimate.

I'm in NY & my Trump votewas the 1st time I vote since 1988. Since then why bother the republicans had no chance to win, many people feel that
way, that's why in NY, California , Illinois & Mass a certain percentage of republican leaning voters stay home. That's why it's skewed!

You could have made that argument 2 weeks ago. A lot of unreported meetings and financial dealings amounted to a packet of ketchup to go with a big ol nothing burger. Trump Jr. emails prove that not only were they aware of an effort by Russian actors to provide help to the campaign, they went along with it. Is it a crime? Who knows.. but it is a huge moral failing to say the least and absolutely not a nothing burger anymore. Given how much obsfucation, omissions, and lying the administration has done about this issue, they have lost 100% of their credibility to call it a nothing burger. So the best thing they can hope for is that the press will keep putting their giant spot light on everything and still won't find definitive proof of collusion because nothing they say will be trusted ever again by anyone who isn't a bogus partisan hack.

Do Democrats in the 20 states Trump won by at least 15% not feel that way too?

What laws have been broken ? Name one

What laws have been broken ? Name one

Are laws being broken the only thing that could possibly be wrong with colluding with a hostile foreign power during a campaign?

What laws have been broken ? Name one

Also, the investigation is on going so we don't know yet, but here is 3 election law professors explaining what laws could possibly have been broken depending on what turns up.

Fox News host wrong that no law forbids Russia-Trump collusion | PunditFact

Even if no law was broken, politically, everyone except Trumpkins recognizes that accepting help from one of our enemies and then lying about it for 6 months to the point you are calling investigations witch hunts and media reports fake news and firing the FBI director is not good.

The investigation has been going on for over a year, and still you people cant name one law that was broken. Not one.
So we're back to the epic temper tantrum the Left has been throwing since Trump won and the endless hours of programming fake news outlets have dedicated to this conspiracy theory nonsense.

It's a bipartisan commission and an special investigator that's appointed by his own justice department that is investigating the alleged collusion. If they end up finding nothing more than we already know, great. Either way, you are talking out of your a$$ because a bipartisan commission, FBI director that is clearly not a democrat, and a special investigator have deemed the evidence worth an investigation and should be good enough for you to stop dismissing the possibility of a crime having been committed by someone outright.

As it stands, we have possible obstruction of justice by Trump and possible perjury by multiple members of his cabinet without even getting to whether any alleged collusion rose to the level of a crime. Thanks to the media doing their jobs we actually know about all the meetings that weren't reported and DTJr's email that confirms the campaign was aware of an effort by the Russians to assist the Trump campaign and damage the Clinton campaign. Yet you are still going on about Fake News? How much of the supposed Fake news has actually been wrong so far? The CNN thing and something about a bust being moved at inauguration day?

Trump said there was no contact. The media found evidence of contact. Trump says well maybe there was some contact but we didn't discuss any collusion. The media finds evidence of possible collusion. Trump says well they didn't actually give us anything. The logical next step in this sequence based on the last few months is that the Media is going to find evidence that he's full of crap again and then Trump and his supporters will change their tune again.

Yes both parties do that. its always oh we could have done so much if the ( fill in teh blank with republicans or democrats whichever the case may be ) had been obstructing etc... etc..

They do! And sometimes I'm even grateful for the obstruction, depending on the issue at hand.

However, what has Trump done, except tweet from afar, to help bring the two sides together? His failure, is his failure to act. He assured his voters he could get the deals done, and has not even made an effort. He has in fact decided to just let healthcare implode since the others around him couldn't get it done. Is that how he does it? Throw us to the wolves? And meanwhile, supporters get angry with those of us critical of Trump and accuse us of being sore about Hillary. I didn't want her to be president either! But that doesn't mean I like anything of the things Trump has (not) done.
