Interesting numbers you posted.

But I believe the true number for soldiers lost by various countries are :
Soviet Union 8,800,000 to 10,700,000
Germany 5,533,000
USA 416,800
Yugoslavia 446,000

The millions and millions of people killed in that war is just staggering. I placed Yugoslavia up just to show that even Yugoslavia lost more than the US.

We have a steady stream of politicians these days that talk the talk with Christianity. Jimmy Carter always seemed to me a Christian that walked the walk.

If you mean #45, he will be the same awful person after his presidency as he was before his presidency.

Carter, on the other hand, was always a decent human being his whole life. His decisions as president were based upon humanism. As a former president, it would be easy to relax with a federal presidential pension -- but Carter chooses to donate his time and help people -- even into his 90s.

It doesn't need to really be said that I didn't care for Carter at all, I think what he has done with HfH, and continues to do at his age is incredible....I hope that he slows his roll for his health....I wish him a speedy recovery.

Yeah, everything is so hyperpartisan these days...And filled with rancor....I think one can be partisan without being an ass about it....Carter IMHO didn't have a strong Presidency, but as a man, and humanitarian, he is a role model.

Decent? That is not necessarily a good basis for politics. Good People do an enormous amount of damage.
