Democrats Sue Trump Campaign Over Leaked Emails Tied to Russia

prove that trump leaked the emails. from what I understand it was wikileaks that leaked all the emails.
it was pretty simple to figure that one out.

Read my OP again. That is exactly what I said.

They are suing the Trump campaign for something somebody else did.

They are looking for deep pockets.

Please tell us why the campaign would be responsible for the "conspiring in the release of".

Did the campaign have control over Wikileaks?

I didn't say they did. Actually, I said quite the opposite. You are the third that has attributed words to me I didn't say in my OP. When are you people going to learn to read? I confer upon all three of you the Yogi Berra Award. LOL.

The suit is frivolous on its face and will go nowhere. You can't sue someone and then ask for a fishing license.

Tim-

Why do you believe the case has no legs? I want a real answer from you.. Surely, you can come up with an intelligent answer, based on the topic, instead of a kneejerk rant, which is all you posted. So let's hear it.

Bottom line. I can sue you for defamation of character or alienation of affection, or wearing the wrong shoe size. Suits count for nothing.

It's not just damaging information to Hillary Clinton that was used by Trump's campaign, but personal information that resulted in people attempting to steal their identities, and in one case, outing a man who was gay and in the closet. That not only crosses the line, but erases it entirely.

However, having said that, will the plaintiffs succeed? Republicans took information that was dumped by Wikileaks and ran with it. But, if I understand this correctly, the information the Republicans used was public domain when Wikileaks released it. Yea, it's pretty sleazy, but I don't see the plaintiffs winning this case. The Trump campaign did not divulge this information. They only used it. Can Wikileaks be sued in an international court? If so, what are the plaintiff's chances there? And, if they can win there, can they collect? And, on the domestic front, is Trump liable for passing along information that was already dumped to the public by Wikileaks? These are important questions.

Discussion? Let's don't assume a connection between the Trump campaign and Russia here. Let's just go with what we already know regarding Wikileaks and the lawsuit. I respectfully ask that the Mods monitor this thread, and attempt to keep it on this narrow topic.

No case, the lawsuit gets tossed. The point of the lawsuit is not to prove wrongdoing, but to continue to imply wrongdoing.

The op is a kneejerk reaction.

The plaintiffs can clearly show that they were damaged. The question is whether or not the Trump campaign is responsible for that damage. I don't think they are, but that does not change the fact that the plaintiffs were damaged.
