[h=1]Trump Jr. Was Told in Email of Russian Effort to Aid Campaign[/h]
"WASHINGTON — Before arranging a meeting with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer he believed would offer him compromising information about Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump Jr. was informed in an email that the material was part of a
Russian government effort to aid his father’s candidacy, according to three people with knowledge of the email."

Jr learned nothing from fredo?

Lol now it seems the left cares about emails. I have a hard time trusting anything from the New York Times these days.

That says more about your bias and cognitive dissonance than it says about the Times.

The issue is not the email. The issue is that after denial after denial that members of the Trump campaign conspired with the Russian government, we find that members did, in fact, conspire with the Russian government to aid Trump's election.

If true, with Don Jr.'s "confession" that yeah, he thought he was going to get dirt on Hillary, and that they discussed sanctions Obama imposed on Russian individuals in 2014 that resulted in Russia rescinding an agreement with the US to adopt Russian children, then Don Jr., Manafort, and Kushner engaged in a "quid pro quo" discussion with a foreign government, which is the very definition of collusion.

I guess someone mentioned than to Junior, since he immediately lawyered up.

The right seemed to not give one iota of a **** about the 32 million emails the Bush Administration lost. Well before Hillary. Pray tell, Digs, why did they get in such an uproar when it came to Hillary's easily 12 thousand or so?

It was largely a tongue in cheek comment.

The Russia meme will be beaten until the Dems find anything they can harp on... yet are likely guilty of doing the same thing as well (just you know, it's ok for them). I'd rather wait until actual facts come out before reading the NYT which is basically out to just roast Republicans.

Maybe it had to do with a corrupt Democrat president lying about "not knowing" about the private email server while being caught and exposed knowing that he knew? Or a Democrat appointed DOJ colluding to protect their candidate (more evidence comes out on this it seems weekly) and an ex-FBI director who cleared her despite admitting she did wrong?

At the end of the day the Dems want to cry about Russia saying Trump colluded with them to steal the election... when the collusion is saying they hacked the DNC for them to expose how they cheated their own primary, how they were acting unethical during the campaign, and exposing their lies. Hell, it's public knowledge their primary was a sham and the money trail behind the Clinton Foundation is still under investigation. Anything the DNC accuses Trump of they are likely guilty of doing the same thing, and at the end of the day it's crying over how they were exposed for doing wrong. Never in my life have I seen a political party go full salt over a lost election acting like fools on a witch hunt. The NYT is just another mouthpiece for this. As far as I'm concerned even if Trump is guilty (which if he is have him tried) the DNC is still far far far worse.

While you label Obama "corrupt" there was no corruption at all. If untruth is your equivalence to corruption, #45, whose resting state is a serial liar, is the Midas of lies.

The fact is, colluding with the Russian government, to pass emails stolen by hackers violating U.S. laws against hacking, is conspiracy and a crime -- even if their intentions were noble (which they weren't.) It's a crime to accept donations from foreign agents. This could be considered a donation.

But clearly, if the Trump team, who is now acting like all this was perfectly fine really believed that, why did they go to such great lengths to deny that it even happened?
