It's more than "dislike" - he acts like an immature teenager and he's the face of this country. You can call it what you like. You're splitting hairs, playing word games.

Trump lies sure, but so do most politicians.
Ethics vacated our government long before Trump was even born.
He's just a more visual/audible version of it.

I do not believe the media is in it anymore for credible journalism, they're in it to sell to eye balls.

Yea it's stupid, but no one will take the proper advice.
Ignore it until you have a viable way of getting him out of office.
99% of the problems would stop if people didn't give his "teenager" behavior the time of day.

He's largely **** posting and trolling.
The reactions to it, is exactly what he wants.

I agree with much of that. Rachel Maddow's approach (from what I hear) - pay attention to what he does, not what he says - is good advice. But I also don't think normalizing what I consider offensive behavior by the POTUS is a good idea. We should care because our standing in the world matters and the POTUS affects that.

A functioning democracy or democratic republic is not possible without a press to report on what the government does, which allows us to hold the government accountable. I find it alarming that POTUS is trashing a key pillar of our system of government. He's also not doing it in a way that is rational - critics get trashed, allies don't, and which outlet is the more objectively accurate has nothing to do with anything.

Back in the early Obama years when Obama and the administration took on Fox News, the "liberal" media and many liberals (shamefully not enough) correctly pushed back hard on that approach, and those objections won the day. Sure, I thought Fox was "unfair" in how they covered Obama, but that is tough **** if you're POTUS. If a 'free press' means ANYTHING AT ALL worthwhile, it means especially that it's most valuable exactly when that media is most hostile to government.

Oh yeah. I think it might be that he's difficult to ignore is because he's the President of the US and he not only represents me, but his decisions affect myself, my community, the planet and the people that I cherish. Yeah, that must be it.

While there are rank-in-file Democrats, there are far more leftists who were willing to criticize Obama than there are conservatives willing to criticize a reality show narcissist in office now.

Specifically, for me, I criticized Obama on the drone war, Obamacare (though for probably different reasons than you), killing an American citizen without due process, interfering with Libya, and many other issues.

I have been on all over the place through the years, so I understand just about every position on every issue unless one is a Nazi or Stalinist. What drives me crazy are those who are so partisan (left or right) they cannot see their own hypocrisy.

I predict that in due time the MSM will be exposed as a direct arm of the Communist Party. Of the many wonderful things about the internet, one is that you can run, but you can't hide. One of these days, when the whole global cyber egg cracks, the **** will truly hit the fan. A lot of bad actors won't wake up the next day. Trump's drive to solidify our world wide cyber security isn't motivated by a need for a few cooler joystick games. He's in it to win it. Just because he doesn't stand on the top step of the Lincoln Memorial every morning an tell the world what he's going to do that afternoon doesn't mean he isn't on the job.

Unlike that pansy Blowbama, Trump will protect us. It takes a little time to turn the Queen Mary. Think of it this way:while the media is destroying itself in front of the whole world, the entire Trump Administration is busily plodding along doing the people's work.
