Doesn't fly with you because they are saying what you want to hear. Everyone has two faces. One that they show the world, the other that they don't. So your "books, speeches, appearances, interviews and countless other ways in which he revealed himself" is at best only getting half a picture. At best. There's a reason that psychologists and doctors have an ethical code that talks about not giving any medical opinions unless they have examined the person personally.

One book may give you a partial picture.

One speech may give you a partial picture.

One interview may give you a partial picture.

One debate appearance may give you a partial picture.

But forty years of those things over and over and over again in one form or another - many in his own words - give us a far far far more complete picture of the man and his faults and mental failings than most in person fifty minute sessions would ever achieve.

And there are many in the mental health field who publicly are willing to violate the Goldwater rule because they view it as a bad rule and must be changed to help save the nation from a mentally ill madman with the self control of a horny 14 years left home alone and finds his dads porn stash.

That is not how you remove a President from office. We have a way to do so. THAT ISN'T IT. Its one of the most unconstitutional things I have ever seen proposed as well as the most cowardly. If you want to remove him you draft articles and you vote with your name, not by proxy with some political gimmick so you can keep your hands clean.

I don't favor impeaching Trump. Pence might actually be able to get the warring Republican factions in Congress to write and pass horrible legislation. Trump's behavior and the baggage he and his associates carry is helping to hinder those efforts. I support Trump's work on that front.;)
