Documents obtained by the Guardian show Sekulow that month approved plans to push poor and jobless people to donate money to his Christian nonprofit, which since 2000 has steered more than $60m to Sekulow, his family and their businesses.

First of all, Trump didn't do this, so let's leave him out of it.

The reason I posted this is to make sure that everybody knows about the inherent dishonesty of telemarketers who claim to call on behalf of charities. When a telemarketer calls and attempts to appeal to your heart, I hope that you, like me, tell him to go pound sand in his ass. I donate to charity, and even play free gigs for charitable causes, but these vultures will never see a red cent from me. They should be rotting in jail.

Actually I just sign up for the DoNotCallRegistry and that , for the most part eliminates the telemarketers. If I want to donate to a charity I do it directly in a time and way of my own choosing.

I don't get any more junk calls. The DoNotCallRegistry didn't completely work for me. About half of them kept calling. I signed up with nomorobo about 2 years ago, and they all got eliminated. :)

Stop robocalls and telemarketers with Nomorobo

Telemarketers buy the list. Just a goldmine for them

Doesn't work like that. Nomorobo has a huge database. When you get a call, nomorobo picks up the phone before you do, and if the caller is in their database, they automatically hang up. You know you had a telemarketer calling you because your phone only rings once, then goes silent. Telemarketers would be wasting their money to buy this list, since they won't get through anyways. LOL.

When it was first introduced in Canada, rogue callers bought and used the list. That is what I was going on.

You can't use the list, unless you want to be hung up before the first ring on every single call you try. It's not YOU who is on the list. The database consists ONLY of the telemarketers and robocallers themselves, and it works like this.

1) Telemarketer or computer dials your number.

2) Nomorobo picks it up immediately.

3) Nomorobo searches the database.

4) If caller is in the telemarketer and robocall database, Nomorobo hangs up the phone immediately. You hear just one ring, and the caller is disconnected.

5) If caller is not in the telemarketer database, Nomorobo keeps the line open, and the phone keeps ringing because you are still connected to the caller. You can then answer your phone.

6) Once in a while, about 5% of the time, the telemarketer is not in the database. If that happens, you go to the Nomorobo web site and enter the number. Nomorobo investigates and adds the number to their database, once it is confirmed to be a telemarketer.

Only an idiot would buy a list consisting of only him and fellow telemarketers, which won't even work for him. LOL.
