Like most good con-men, your hero is very good at insinuating, and he did with the direct intention of trying to intimidate Comey. One more dishonest little trick that worked for his bullying in the school yard.
Personally I no longer believe ONE WORD that comes out of the US White House; the man is a pathological liar. Now it could be that he has tapes and realizes he can't use them, or he tried to scare a federal witness. There's no in between, either way he is unfit for the office.
And finally, how can a statement made by the president of the United States, a controversial statement be a "non-story"?
I don't believe a word he says either. For all I know he's parsing the truth like Bill did with Monica. Trump might not have "tapes" but there is a digital recording of the meeting somewhere, who ****ing knows with this guy.
