The point is that hoping under any circumstance doesn't suggest action.

Comey would have been an idiot to simply assume Trump hadn't recorded anything in the first place, even if in the end he (claims he) didn't.

The really cool thing is...Trump STILL leaves open the question about whether there are recordings or not.

With all of the recently reported electronic surveillance, intercepts, unmasking and illegal leaking of information, I have no idea... ...whether there are "tapes" or recordings of my conversations with James Comey, but I did not make, and do not have, any such recordings.

So...if any recordings DO surface, it won't be Trump...it'll be someone illegally recording and leaking information.

Like most good con-men, your hero is very good at insinuating, and he did with the direct intention of trying to intimidate Comey. One more dishonest little trick that worked for his bullying in the school yard.

Personally I no longer believe ONE WORD that comes out of the US White House; the man is a pathological liar. Now it could be that he has tapes and realizes he can't use them, or he tried to scare a federal witness. There's no in between, either way he is unfit for the office.

And finally, how can a statement made by the president of the United States, a controversial statement be a "non-story"?

Comey testified that yes, he told Trump 3 times he wasnt under investigation, and that Trump asked him to check into his associates and let him know if they were involved in Russian collusion.

Comey was a 6'8" women scorned whoo thanks to the tweet was forced to testift truthfully.

It killed the ridiculous collusion narrative and forced the Media to go to plan B , obstruction....Lol !

Yea good luck with that. This didnt blow up in Trumps face, it blew up in the Lefts faces and the media outlets who were devoting 24/7 coverage to the Russian collusion lunacy.

I don't care what the right does to me. It just illustrates their hypocrisy and flimsy talking points if they fly into a rage about hoping things and give a pass about hoping other things.

If I was your boss and I called you into a room and I said, "I hope you can unbutton your blouse a little and start wearing makeup." WTF? does it matter if you hope it or not? You hope, you want, you desire, for these things to happen. It's a power dynamic. The one with power hopes things get done and when they don't there are consequences.

It's hilarious that (R)'s have received their talking points that hoping is not a big deal but, if I say, I hope President Trump gets shot, I'm pretty sure that's a big deal. So, what is it? Does hoping disqualify me? If I made a thread, "I hope President Trump gets shot." Would that fly? Or, does hoping not "suggest action."

* No violence encouraged against the President my post is an example.

No, he forced Comey to consider the possibility that their conversations were taped prior to his sworn testimony.

Otherwise it would have been Comeys word against Trumps, and Comey, a 6'8" women scorned would have embellished his testimony to feed the Russian collusion and obstruction narratives.
The media would have had a field day with Comeys testimony, instead they were forced to switch narratives to obstruction.

How was it a lie ? The tweet said something to the effect that Comey better hope those conversations werent taped.
Brilliant, forced Comey to testify truthfully and it killed the collusion lunacy.
Comey was a 6'8" women scorned, out to nail Trump, but I guess perjury wasnt worth it

So, all of the threads that I'm sure you participated in about the left's rhetoric after the baseball shooting are inconsequential because in order for anyone to be held accountable for anything, they have to actually do crimes. Talking and hoping is no big deal, got it.

this is a shock. i figured for sure that there was a Sony TC-800B hidden in the Resolute Desk. Obama probably messed it up when he put his feet up on it.

in reality, they both almost certainly had cell phones close to them, so it's more likely than not that the NSA has something recorded somewhere. doubt that we'll ever find out for sure. if i were him, i wouldn't cut their budget much or say mean things about the agency in a 3 AM tempertweet, though. they've been recording everything for years.

Worked like a charm too. I'm sure Comey's senate hearing testimony would have been MUCH different had be known for certain no tapes existed.
