I am not worried about a June storm, they cause rainfall flooding, but not usually much storm surge or wind.

The Senate got Trump's FEMA pick confirmed just in time.

I think my supply of window trimming is up to date, I guess I need to go see if the generator starts.
Oh well it is that time of year, at least we don't get blizzards!

You need to make sure your generator still has an energized coil, they can often start but not power anything else if they sit too long. If it will not power anything plug a drill in it and spin it backwards a few times, it sometimes re energizes the coils allowing them to work again.

As the song goes, get along home, Cindy, Cindy.....

Translation - GTFO!! LOL.

Fixing to get a little wet here, and in SE Texas and Louisiana.

Gulf weather system upgraded to Tropical Storm Cindy as threat intensifies - Houston Chronicle

I am in central texas but 2 years ago we had a big ol tropical storm that did the extremely rare brown water effect, where the storm got stronger as it went inland instead of weaker, and made it past texas to other states.

But heck even when that does not happen, in centex in the edge of hill country we still see the aftermath, usually storms and flooding.

We are now surveying the damage done in Houston by Tropical Storm Cindy.
