Redskins chances of retaining nickname improved by Supreme Court ruling

It's called free speech. I think Native Americans should stop stealing feathers from poor defenseless birds, it's offensive.
 
Just because you have the right to say something does not mean you should, and people can still very much disagree.

as the majority said you have a right to free speech you can't ban it simply because you find it offensive. finally a sense of sensibility has returned to the court after this ruling.

it wasn't just them that won the victory but the Asian front man for a group called The Slants that won as well.
 
I wonder how long The Washington Palefaces would have lasted.
 
While I personally wouldn't spend money on a team that wants to call themselves that, I don't think the government should treat them differently because of it.

I am kind of of a huge indian rights person.

I remember my Grandmother always saying; "It doesn't cost you anything to just be nice and respectful to people". But my Grandfather always said; "If they don't show you any respect, why should they deserve your respect".

I always supported the ladder, because it works for me. ;)

the people that go to the games are redskin fans and well they will do not have an issue with it.
the other team is there to support their team.

while some people will get their panties in a wad most will not.

This Country has a hell of History of Disrespect and Brutality towards Humans ... just saying. If we simply stop denying that, own up to it and recognize that everyone should possess some form of empathy.

Empathy doesn't mean you need to apologize for anything ... it just means if I pinch you, I should have empathy on what it feels like to be pinched ans understand that how I treat people reflex on me.

and we came a long way since the days when they did what they thought was right at the time. Don't forget that. Compare that to the nations that existed long before us.

I am all for beating the Redskins. Except maybe by the Eagles. And Cowboys too. I don't like teams that offend Eagles and Cowboys.

I consider my being a long time fan of the Dallas Cowboys, even though I am from VA, as an appropriate boycott.

Hey, let's not blame just us. Human history, especially Europe, has a long and brutal history of killing other humans. Much less so here.

Don't know, based on my observations of your general posts, if you are familiar with the concept, but ladders also allow one to go up.

And, fyi, the term is spelled "latter".

Those liberals who believe we should be more like Europe need to take note. They want "hate speech" to not get the exemption. Even left leaning judges disageee. Glad to see this. Free speech is paramount to a free state.

The one Good thing The NRA did was to protect my right to protect myself from this Country going back to The Good Old Days. ;)

... and I'm Fully Protected. :mrgreen:

So I'm not worried about the people who didn't come a long way since the days when they did what they thought was right at the time, because I have a reminder.
