Let's assume he's bright and well educated like you claim...
1. Went to North Korea, which is dumb.
2. Stole property in North Korea which is dumber still.
I don't believe somebody this foolish is incapable of writing a poorly worded letter. You're trying to deflect from the fact that this happened under Obama's watch, and Trump's administration had the gravitas and will to get him out of there.
In a rational world maybe where common sense and values are the norm. What does anyone expect from a man and a regime that executed his uncle with an anti-aircraft gun?I visited the Young Pioneers website last week, and anybody who cares can read on its FAQs page that visiting North Korea is "very safe!"
Meanwhile, this young man's body isn't even cold, but judgmental vultures just couldn't wait to sit in judgment. Yes, this kid made a foolish mistake. He shouldn't have had to pay for it with his life.
Thanks for such a compassionate and truly insightful response.
And btw, you don't get to dismiss the class.
Right, that is what the world needs more war. Brilliant, just ****ing brilliant. The way they treated an American citizen and detain others is a call for war in my opinion. A war to destroy the Kim regime is long overdue.

What were we going to do Bucky.................send nukes?
C'mon!
I'm not a Obama fan, but it's not his fault.
This man is very much responsible for his own fate. I've made it very clear of that. However the Obama administration sent him to North Korea to engage in shenanigans and then left him there to die. It's his fault for foolishly trusting the Obama admin and it's the Obama admin's fault for sending him there to begin with. You seem to have Obama confused with God. Since when was it the presidents job to micromanage the lives of every single US citizen both here or abroad? Come on, admit it, Reinoe...you don't believe in taking personal responsibility or a smaller, less intrusive government...noooo, you prefer a fascist, authoritarian, nanny state run by a half wit tyrant. And N. Korea didn't release Otto because of your 'dear leader, Trump'...they released him because they put him in a coma and didn't want to care for him anymore.
OK class, that was only recess; next, open your books to page 714 & we will discuss the concept of sedative hypnotics .................

myself at 21? I stayed in Louisiana & made a small fortune selling marijuana  .................. statute of limitations is waaaaaaaaaaaaay behind me eace
a much smarter move than Otto ................
class dismissed ........
Oh come on.....confessions with a gun to the head are meaningless.
I don't find you a bit humorous. In fact I find your posts in this thread rather disturbing.
A young American just expired due to the horrific treatment he received in incarceration after a kangaroo court trial. If you haven't been keeping up on what the experts say caused the excessive amount of brain damage Otto received during his incarceration in N. Korea, maybe you should take the time to find out maybe you wouldn't be making so many jokes.
It ain't a joking matter. On the contrary, it is an absolute travesty that bastards would do such things to another human being.

The U.S. has a facility that helps generate FALSE CONFESSIONS. Either false confessions are acceptable or they're not.
Otto Warmbier has died days after release from North Korea, hospital says - WCPO Cincinnati, OH
My heat goes out to his friends and family. HE made a really DUMB decision in a place where dumb is not tolerated and paid far too high a price for his poor judgement.

He had a heart attack and wound up in a vegetative state.Warmbier's state was likely a result of a cardio or pulmonary arrest.

Wow, he wasn't beaten, savaged, or burned? Sounds like the North Koreans treated him better than how our police treat minorities. When asked whether exams showed Warmbier had been beaten, Kantor said they ran a battery of tests looking at all the long bones, ribs, pelvis and skull.
"In those scans we see no evidence of acute or healing fractures -- including the skull," Kantor said.

You are right. It's not funny at all. But this was a educated young man who attended schools that were supposed to encourage critical thinking? Why would any intelligent human being want to go to Kim's personal playpen of human carnage and steal a sign?
Like they say.............It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
That is scary. What is the cause of death?
Tragic...but theres lessons to be learned in all of this.
