Sorry, not that petty, I stand with the US on this issue and I hope the EU and Nato will stand behind the US on this issue and make sure that any attempts at shooting a US or Nato plane out of the air is not going to end well for the Russians. They need us way more than we need their rotten country.

Syria is part of the UN, and the U.S. has shot down a Syrian plane. Where are the condemnations about U.S. aggression?

So far he has been kissing Putin's ass consistently. And why would we want payback if the safety of US troops is at risk? Silly to even suggest such a thing, it shows you have no clue what a leftist like me thinks at all.

The U.S. is not invited into Syria. The U.S. is infiltrating a foreign power and UN member without approval. Furthermore it's been well document that the U.S. is arming and training terrorists in Syria. It's disgusting.

I really do not think russia will back down on this much further, under international law, russia is in the right and the us is unlawfully invading a sovereign country. Keep in mind with this russia has also been cornered by nato creeping up to their borders, and has been under threat of losing one of it's warm sea ports outside the black sea which is syria.

They have a very strategic need for syria, syria is also a russian ally and to russia they might very well take it as a last straw and retaliate. Also keep in mind russia is very weary of anyone creeping up on their borders since ww2, where hitler kept expanding german occupied land while pretending to be non hostile to russians, while turning around later and backstabbing them. Russia to this day has a lot of policy centered around what happened with ww2, and an untrustworthiness of foreign countries expanding to their borders.

A lot of us said that Obama was a complete failure in Syria in large part because he failed to assert Americas might, no one can accuse Trump of that.

Actually Trump is the only President to my knowledge that abdicated this duty as Commander in Chief. Clinton, Bush and Obama definitely were ALWAYS responsible for the decisions to deploy troops and in what numbers. They discussed it with military leaders of course but he final decision was always their own. It's part of the job and the accountability was always with the President.

Putin just threatened to shoot our planes out of the sky in Syria and crickets from the ass-kisser in chief. How many more examples do you need? Putin has Trump by the balls and you don't mind?
 
The Australians have decided to suspend their air and support operations in Syria perhaps due to Russian threats. Will other Coalition members follow suit and recuse themselves if the wake of the shooting down of the Syrian Su-22 in Syrian airspace?
