WASHINGTON — President Trump will not immediately eliminate protections for the so-called Dreamers, undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as small children, according to new memorandums issued by the administration Thursday night.

But White House officials said Friday morning that Mr. Trump had not made a decision about the long-term fate of the program and might yet follow through on a campaign pledge to take away work permits from the immigrants or deport them.

The fact that Trump is giving this issue some time before making a decision is a good sign. I'm with Trump on that. Campaign pledges are made, but when one takes office, he is in the real world, and must govern accordingly.

Why you think that Trump is taking his time? He might just have forgot it, or got detracted by a mirror somewhere or forced the White House staff to line up and praise him...

But regardless, this will piss of his base.

He actually should appeal this immediately. It was unconstitutional when Obama made the order and it is no less Constitutional with Trump defending it.

Trump should appeal his own decision? That's a good one. LOL.

If I've learned anything this election cycle it's his base couldn't care two Sh*ts about what he does. They likely don't even know that he is doing this or what this even means.

The only reason we have "illegal" immigration is because the "job creator" class urges and lobbies for it.

As long as Don is flinging poo, that's what he was elected to do.

Rescission of Memorandum Providing for Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (“DAPA”)

Release Date:
June 15, 2017

On June 15, Department of Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly, after consulting with the Attorney General, signed a memorandum rescinding the November 20, 2014 memorandum that created the program known as Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (“DAPA”) because there is no credible path forward to litigate the currently enjoined policy.

Donald Trump is a two-faced coward and has betrayed his base with this decision.

More like upholding a long tradition of American values. Yea, I have lots of problems with Trump, but I will give credit where credit is due. If Trump is finally learning what it means to be president, he might even get my vote in 2020.

Not only has he betrayed you but he has also lied to you. LIED! Are you really going to take that from your man?

I've already made it known how I feel about Trump's re-election chances in my sig way back in February.
