Trump disapproval rating hits new high in daily Gallup poll

As of election AM, LA Times had trump up by 3.2%. Who's president ?

National polls aren't designed to measure who's president. They're designed to measure the popular vote. The LA Times did worse with that than anyone.

I'm not attacking your whole post. I'm attacking the part where you gave kudos to the LA Times poll despite it having literally the worst results among national polls in 2016.

Why would you think me disagreeing with one part of your post, automatically means I disagree with all of it?

I'm seeing the reweighted LA Times poll with Clinton up by 1.9%. No one got closer than that. You couldn't be more wrong in your statements about the LA Times polls .

The reweighted LA Times polls had Clinton up by 1.9%. The LA Times did better than anyone else. And they predicted trump would win .

What re-weighted poll?

What re-weighted poll?

I've already left a long link in post #11 to six swing state trump approval polls with my iPhone.

If I can google the la times, so can you .

but Trump will be in Iowa Wednesday next week for his 2020 campaign ............

It's true it's my paper of record and I didn't want to believe it. But I still blame comey and Russia for her loss.

So one sided

While that did end up more accurate than their actual poll. That's just a third party member taking out the terrible weighting system of 2012's results that the LA Times shouldn't have used in the first place. I don't see why that makes the LA Times poll itself any better, since again, what they put out was the single most inaccurate national poll.

<<< "honeymoon" period >>>

There wasn't any honeymoon period because of the hateful liberal media, and you know it.

About the polls...they also showed that Hillary Clinton would easily win the presidency. You do remember President Hillary Clinton now don't you? Oops.

You know - this guy was touted as the great manager - someone who could fix things in ways no politician could. Now you all are saying he can't get anything done because people are so stupid they believe the men media.

Wahuh?

The obvious answer is get something done and stop making excuses. Stop wasting time having cabinet meetings where everyone is filed praising you. Your own damn party has both houses of Congress. All the excuses in the world don't help a president who is failing at the job itself.

And while trump is firming up his GOP base and trump base in a state that went twice for Obama, Democrats are asleep at the wheel.

Iowa now has a trifecta at the state level, both senators, 3 of 4 house members, and DEMs have an at-risk house member in IA-2 .

When? 2012?

Does it matter? Their 2016 poll was their first with that methodology. And it did poorly. Most likely because they tried to weight to 2012 voting patterns.

Who did the LA Times, Traflgar Group, and IBD/TIPP predict would win the presidential? That seems to be all that really matters.

National polls mean as much as the popular vote. That's why I left a link to state polls, the ones that give an idea as to how the EC is leaning .

State polls matter more for who will win. National polls matter for predicting the popular vote. That's their only function. They aren't designed in the slightest to predict who will win the election. Some people misinterpret it that way, but that's not what they do. Pundits throw up national polls like they're designed to predict the election because it's easier to throw up one

The IBD/TIPP 4 way poll was one of the most wrong polls, and the LA Times poll was the most wrong national poll. They get no credit for predicting Trump would win the election, because that's not what the polls were designed to do.

Finally its turned the corner and started to climb.... Oh, wait, that is the DISAPPROVAL rating. 60%? Are you kidding? What kind of "leader" drives his disapproval to 60% during the "honeymoon" period?

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html

We have a totally dysfunctional White House that will have a very hard time governing other than to ram through unpopular legislation in the dark of the night. The people who were upset at the workings of Washington a year ago can't continue to think this is an improvement

Once the approval/disapproval gets to 30/66, the impeachment process will have plenty of fuel.

The Trump legislative team practicing getting
their agenda though in the current climate.

There was no honeymoon period. The Democrats begin trying to destroy him the day after the election. Look at this way, only 8% of democrats approved of the job Trump was doing the last week of January, still only 8% approve today. That isn't anything near a honeymoon. Compare that to Republicans when Obama took office, 41% approved of him at the end of January 2009, they were giving him a chance. Although Republican approval dropped to 26% by the 8th of June 2009.

The big difference is with independents, They gave Obama a 62% approval rating at the end of January 2009 and a 56% approval in the middle of June 2009. Independents gave Trump a 42% approval at the end of January and a 31% today.

The big difference is no one tried to destroy Obama prior to him taking office like the Democrats have done to Trump. Now Trump is his own worst enemy and he has caused quite a lot of his problems himself. The bottom line is no one gave Trump a honeymoon. Like him or hate him, he had no honeymoon.

I think once you get away from Trump's supporters, you'll find out not many folks like him. His persona sucks. With Obama, even when most folks disagreed with his policies, he was well liked as an individual. Personally. Unless you're an avid supporter of Trump, it is very easy not to like him at all, personally, as an individual. He is obnoxious, uncouth, unpresidential and a ton of other things.

Gillespie barely wins GOP primary in VA for governor against a trump supporter, severely underperforming in a low voter GOP turnout reminiscent of Cantor biting the dust. Northam won 57-43 in a huge DEM turnout and are unified .

Totally agree with your assessment here, Pero.

Strange, I didn't know this is why a President would be impeached. Must be a new process.

Take a note kids, reporting on events is defamatory.

It's the new rally cry of the right. Anything that doesn't agree with the base is Fake News. The thing is, the base only wants 100% Pro-Trump news. I literally can't find anything else they agree with among each other.

There is already a case to be made with the obstruction of justice. Low poll numbers are not even necessary, but it might help wake up some of the establishment that have bought Trump's crap, or are just using him to line their own pockets.

Rasmussen, which predicted Trump would win the presidency, has Trump at a 43% approval, and 57% disapproval.

Is Rasmussen part of the mythical liberal media now?

Oh come on now...Gallup?

You think Gallup is bogus?

That is ridiculous.

Clearly, you just do not want to believe the numbers.

Conservatives loved Gallup back when Obama had a 40% approval rating some years ago. Now that Gallup has Trump with low approval ratings, it's all "Fake News" now.

Any Con POTUS who is tracking under 50% on Rasmussen you know is really ****ing up.

You know what's even funnier? EVIL socialist Kenyan Muslim Barrack Obama had a 60% approval from Rasmussen when he left office.

That's right, even an EVIL Democrat did better with a Republican leaning poll than the new Republican president Donald Trump.

Sorry to have to inform you, but Trump is not "failing at the job" by any reasonable definition. Obama left our country with a huge mess including 20 trillion dollars in debt, and it can't get much worse than that without a financial collapse.

The Obama "hurricane" wrecked the house, and you expect Trump to come in and quickly fix it. Well, it cannot be done so quickly, it takes time, and step by step, Trump is getting rid of Obama's economically destructive policies and executive orders, and turning our country around in the right direction.
