Bill Cosby arrived at court Monday for day six of his sexual assault trial with his wife of 53 years by his side. Bill and Camille Cosby smiled and walked arm-in-arm as they entered the courthouse.


The defense called just one witness and then promptly rested its case.

Cosby’s team called up the detective who led the 2005 investigation into allegations Cosby drugged and violated Andrea Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home.

Detective Richard Schaffer was one of 12 witnesses who testified during the five-day prosecution case.

I've been watching this board, and the media, closely in recent days. Here we have an OJ Simpson-like court case, with one of the most iconic people of the past 100 years, on trial for multiple rapes over multiple years. Twelve women testified against Cosby, to basically crickets in the media.

And......virtually nothing.

Can't distract from the minute-by-minute gameplan to fabricate a public assassination of a president out of sheer revenge.

All other news is a mere nuisance. Even a terrorist bombing of children at a concert (CNN covered it for about three hours before getting right back to Trump that night).

The MSM isn't media anymore. It's merely a DNC mob of henchmen.

I'd actually argue that the opposite is the problem...that MSM IS media. It used to be that news was a loss-leader for a media company. Now that all that has gone out the window and it's all about ratings and income it's obvious that it will become slanted and sensationalized. As for the focus on President DJT, the reasoning is simple. He makes for good ratings. This isn't just my claim; the president has made it many times. CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and most other media outlets have become addictions to the intellectually lazy who would rather have their opinions regurgitated than process an original thought or opinion. I actually understand the rights frustration with the media, though I think the belief that it's a right/left problem is very misguided.

The issue with "real news" is its boring and nobody but us weird C-SPAN viewers would actually watch it if it didn't exist in it's current form. Can you agree with this or do you believe the intellectual dishonesty only stems from media outlets on the left?

That's absolutely an accurate assessment.

But it's also why CNN and others need to stop complaining about "fake news" accusations and their overall approval ratings among America. They truly do make up news and present it as fact, and people now put almost no stock in what they hear from the media.

I trust them to cover an earthquake. Virtually nothing else.

I think that has more to do with the MSM having Cosby's back. People that grew up with Cosby don't want to associate him with being a pederass, serial rapist. But, by all means double down on right wing victim culture, it is a fascinating and very real phenomenon.

Terrorists bombing children indeed. Where was the MSM coverage for the Kabul bombing that claimed over 150 lives with 300 injured? OHHHH That's right! It was innocent Muslims that died.. Muslims are what 3/5 a person anyway, right?

I'm all for covering that Kabul bombing, which was horrific.

The media couldn't give a rip about those people though. Trump called them out during the campaign, so he will get ALL of their effort, angst, and attention. Regardless of what professional lines they need to blur in the process.

Yeah, the Kabul bombing was one of the most deadly in Afghanistan history and it happened a mere 2 weeks ago ~ Where's the calls for prayers and support?

As for the Cosby thing, what's going on with his trial? What are the charges against him?

AND - there's no verdict or anything, it's just the end of one stage of this trial.


This is just moaning and snowflaking over negative Trump headlines.

The OP doesn't give a single dead rat's ass about Cosby and that trial.

It has been on the news but most Americans don't give a rip and the media knows this .... so they are going to cover what American's are interested in which happens to be the POTUS at this time.

I can not get over the fact that Cosby gave these women pills/drugs in an open manner not hiding them in either food or drink and they took those pills of their own free will.

How is that rape given that those women was adults at the time and the so call rape victim charging him now kept a relationship with him for some time after the 'rape'.

I don't recall Cosby ever telling the women that he was giving them rape drugs. Women continuing to have relationships with men who have raped them is not an uncommon occurrence.

Actually, it's the Russia probe that is the distraction from the real news, such as gutting environmental regulations, repealing Frank-Dodd, pushing through Trumpcare, and in general breaking promises that he would fix the infrastructure.
