The president’s new at this. He’s new to government, and so he probably wasn’t steeped in the long-running protocols that establish the relationships between DOJ, FBI and White Houses. He’s just new to this.”

That's exactly why people like me were saying that Trump isn't qualified to be president. We, the American people, require a president that already understands those 'long-running protocols that establish the relationships between DOJ, FBI and White Houses' as well as other things -- such as the U.S. has a major military base in Qatar and therefore, it would be smart to not get into the middle of a dispute between Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, does President Trump's inexperience entitle him to a different ethical standard? How much of a curve are we expected to grade this guy with?

Not qualified? Or not clued into how coordinated corruption works on the largest scale on earth?

Washington is a charade, and the media is its PR firm.

You don't have to actually be president to know the president can't order the FBI director to drop investigations of his pals.

How long is "he's just an idiot" going to continue as a defense of this clown?

Except he didn't order any such thing.

Fail.

Fail.

He shouldn't have even asked. A President "asking" something can be construed as an order. Comey didn't do as the President asked and got fired.

You're gonna ruin that narrative they'll be clutching in their cold, dead hands when the Reaper claims them. They should pursue obstruction charges if they truly believe their own little story.

He may be new to government, but he's a master of the art of talking around a question without answering it, of telling plausible lies, of making up half truths, of coming up with red herrings like Trump Towers having been bugged in order to distract attention from the real issues, of telling people what they want to hear. He's really good at politics.

Oh Good God.

That happens every day of office from every president in every administration.

That happens all day long up and down the halls of Congress, too.

This is so stupid.

Fail.

My boss doesn't "ORDER" me to do anything either but I sure as hell know exactly what she means when she says "I hope" you will do blah blah blah.

And.......

Legally, that means nothing whatsoever.

Every administration fires the FBI director after being rebuffed while verbally connecting his job security to compliance with a request to drop an investigation?

The "moron defense" how weak. Sorry, but Trump isn't a 16 year old working at Best Buy.

Apparently so... at least amongst the Trumpers.

" Understanding long running protocols " isnt one of the Constitutional requirements for running for the Presidency.

I didn't say it meant anything legally - I'm not a lawyer!!...but you got to be pretty dumb to think Trump wasn't trying to put Comney in his back pocket (you pat my back I'll pat yours) and when it failed he fired him. I don't care if it was illegal or not...Trump has been in this world for 70 freakin' years and should know that what he tried to do was as unethical as you can get in the work place....impeachable?...nah....won't happen.....but good grief...can't you guys at least admit this man was out of line instead of defending him every time he does **** like this?

The owner of the Post is Jeff Bezos, who also owns Amazon. And Amazon has a $600 million contract to provide the CIA cloud computing services. I wouldn't take anything the Post puts out as having any connection to objective reality. Your system is utterly propped up by corruption, we would all do well to abandon the illusion of america and deal with the reality of america.

Not accepting gifts from foreign governments is.

The President does have the authority to order the FBI or the DOJ to drop a investigation

Not accepting gifts from foreign governments is.

Lol.....Youve never read the Constitution, have you ?

And what " foreign gifts " are you talking about ?

Well he is new to this. I just don't think that all the issues he has can be blamed on being a novice.

Oh I think Trump is well aware of how bullying, backroom deals, and corruption work. That's not the issue.

Unless Obama had done it, then it would have been an outrage, lol.

You don't think Clinton or Obama didn't do exactly the same thing countless times during their administrations? Don't you watch House of Clintons on Netflix?

That is incredibly mild behavior for Washington DC. That's all day, every day.

Unless Obama had done it, then it would have been an outrage, lol.

If Obama had done it - which he did 1,000 times - we never would have heard about it.
