NEW YORK (AP) — President Donald Trump may be the nation's tweeter-in-chief, but some Twitter users say he's violating the First Amendment by blocking people from his feed after they posted scornful comments.

Lawyers for two Twitter users sent the White House a letter Tuesday demanding they be un-blocked from the Republican president's @realDonaldTrump account.

Probably one of the most ridiculous stories I have seen in a while. Blocking people from twitter is now a violation of the 1st Amendment?

These idiots should be scorned and the lawyers disbarred for even sending such a stupid letter. After all, if they don't know how the 1st Amendment works then they certainly should NOT be lawyers.

Not really a violation of free speech. Though in general, Twitter should be taken down.

I read his tweets and don't have a Twitter account.

Can't they just sign out and then look at them?

I think they are mad because they cannot tweet on Trump's page.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see how that's a violation of the 1st Amendment. Seems like a ridiculous notion.
I mean, if they really want to view Trump's tweets, all they have to do is just not sign onto their Twitter account.

The people whining don't have that kind of intelligence.

It boggles my mind that seemingly educated people...lawyers...are so ignorant of the 1st Amendment.

What law has been violated by their clients being blocked?

Well we're the nation that elected Donald Trump. I think the only notions we do these days are ridiculous.

Answer: no law has been broken.

Probably just those sorts of lawyers that will take on anything so long as they get paid. And even though there's almost no chance, there may be a chance for some publicity.
