Congress expands Russia investigation to include Trump's personal attorney

My concern is how the media reports on such matters. Trying to change public opinion against a person and destroy a persons public image and also hurt one political party. That seems wrong. Shouldnt the media be non bias, just report the facts, and not over exaggerate situations?

Perhaps the folks at Fox News can answer that?

Ah, yes, the "lovely" Wonkette, which I stopped reading after what it did to Trigg Palin.

Hard to blame anyone else for the **** that landed on the Palin clan. You can start with the Moron who runs that pack of delinquents

Mommy dearest.

Not fond of picking on kids but she thrust him into the limelight.

Heres its the context in which they frame their facts. Throwing in facts about how he gets angry in an exchange in 2016 or what he told the Daily Beast reporter in 2015. What he said about the Jim Comey getting fired. Past false claims like him visiting Prague. Then even throwing in Flinn. All this is to paint a picture.

When the facts of this story is Michael Coen was asked by the senate investigators to testify and he refused.

You still didnt answer my question, Whether or not the media should be non bias, just report the facts, and not over exaggerate situations?

Yes, they painted a picture so we know who Michael Cohen, why he's relevant and why we should care. That's what reporters do.

And "over exaggerate" isn't a word. It's just exaggerate.

Trump lawyer Cohen in 2015 telling Daily Beast reporters:

“I will take you for every penny you still don’t have. And I will come after your Daily Beast and everybody else that you possibly know … So I’m warning you, tread very ****ing lightly, because what I’m going to do to you is going to be ****ing disgusting.”

He sounds nice.

He also has weird connections with Russians and pro-Russian Ukrainians, having worked with a Trump associate named Felix Sater and a pro-Russia member of the Ukrainian parliament named Andrii Artemenko to create a “peace plan” for Russia and Ukraine that somehow magically would end with sanctions on Russia being lifted.
Andrey Artemenko is the name. He made his fortune establishing sports federations in Ukraine. He was once a financier for Right Sector (Pravyi Sektor), the far-right ultra-nationalist party and militia. He cooked up a strange peace proposal which was rejected by Russia. He was then expelled from the Radical Party, charged with treason (he did not possess the authority to negotiate for Ukraine), and stripped of his Ukraine citizenship when he applied for Canadian citizenship. He has since founded the NGO 'Solidarity of Right Forces' in which its political, ideological and philosophical views are considered to be a successor to the nationalist UDP/OUN forces of WWII.

Trump lawyer Michael Cohen associates with some ... very sketchy people.

So im gathering by the two seperate times that you refused to answer the question, that you're ok with news media being bias and not reporting the facts. You'd rather see false made up stories and opinion pieces. Got it

House Intelligence Committee subpoenas Trump lawyer Cohen: AP | Reuters

"President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, has been subpoenaed by the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee in its probe into possible Russian election meddling and ties to the Trump campaign...

The AP report, citing an unidentified congressional aide, came after Cohen told ABC ... he had been asked to provide information and testimony to investigators in the House and Senate, but that he declined because "the request was poorly phrased, overly broad and not capable of being answered."

lol

More like Italian since he has a consigliere.

Paul Ryan on the GOP: "We're a real family"

The Godfather on the mafia: "Don't ever take sides with anyone against the family again, ever."

Oh, yes, thrust him into the spotlight. He was only 3-4 months old when his mother accepted the Vice Presidential nomination, and she was breastfeeding. In case you have forgotten, mere hours after she accepted that nomination, Daily Kos and HuffPo launched the rumor that he wasn't her child.

In any event, no excuse for Wonkette. Trig Palin Wonkette Post: How It Started a Flame War

Would that be the unidentified source trump used from FOX today ?

that pretty well confirms trump's fascist intentions

he reminds me more and more of everything i've heard about nixon

And it needs to be said that the investigations are bi-partisan and in the case of Mueller, independent. That crap about witch hunt doesn't apply. Cohen's position under the spotlight is not due to partisan film flam and witch huntery.

That's because making sure we have ****ty relations with Russia is a bi-partisan effort.

There is no law that requires them to simply report the facts and truthfully no one would watch television news if they reported straight facts. Newspaper have been struggling for a good while. You want unbiased news in print? The Christian Science Monitor is your best choice. Let me know how you like after a couple of months.

So now what - is the attorney now also a Russian agent?

"Well, we're not saying that"

But what are you saying?

"We just need to investigate"

So basically, the Left will keep accusing more and more and more and more people of being Russian agents. They won't stop even if they have to declare most of the country to be Russian agents.

This has become like The Scarlet Letter, or like the Salem Witch Trials, where you're casting aspersion on all kinds of people and impuning their integrity in the most fundamental way possible - ie. questioning their loyalty to the country - all in the name of rooting out some alleged wrongdoing which you refuse to explicitly identify. This is Left-wing McCarthyism.

It's also fascist and totalitarian - because the Left want to do it to everyone, everywhere - there's no part of the world where the Left won't make allegations of Russian interference, if the local Left-wing candidate doesn't win.

Let's face it - there is no moral equivalence between Left and Right - and there never has been. Totalitarianism has always exclusively been propagated by the Left - there's no such thing as Right-wing totalitarianism. The Left have always been the ones to stoop lower than everybody else.

Sounds as if you favor the Trump approach to Russia. Do you? If so, why?

Yes, I favor having better relations with Russia because having bad relations has historically only lead to massive amounts of human suffering. Look at all the Cold War era crap we had to go through. Look at what's happening to the people of Syria now. Make no mistake, we aren't involved in Syria for altruistic reasons. We are involved specifically because they are allied with Russia/Iran. Saudi Arabia is multiple times more extreme and oppressive of a government than Assad, and are actually the source of a significant amount of Muslim extremism but Bush will give the King a smooch on the mouth and Obama will bow to him.

Why? Who knows? Better for selling weapons, one of the few things we still make an export in our country on a large scale?

Your post is all over the place and I am not certain if you have a point or you are just shotgunning it and hoping for the best. I will respond only to the investigation of Russia and Trump and his former and present staff.

Are you stating that the monolithic left is "accusing" more and more Trump people of being Russian agents? I'm am aware that as the investigations have become more active they appear to be asking more people to testify or provide documentation. That's logical, is it not? I have yet to see any investigation accuse any Trump person of being a Russian Agent.

You call the investigations a witch hunt. Are you aware that all the investigations except the one being conducted by Mueller are bi-partisan? At this point we know very little about Mueller's investigation. We do know his appointment was met with bi-partisan approval. No one that I am aware of has been indicted. Who then is conducting a "witch hunt"?

The Left-leaning media are certainly reporting it that way - bunch of crooks that they are.

I'm am aware that as the investigations have become more active they appear to be asking more people to testify or provide documentation. That's logical, is it not? I have yet to see any investigation accuse any Trump person of being a Russian Agent.

This investigation is a fishing exercise, because it's just looking around "until they find something" - which means it can keep going indefinitely.

You call the investigations a witch hunt. Are you aware that all the investigations except the one being conducted by Mueller are bi-partisan?

The Swamp is certainly bi-partisan - it engulfs both parties - that you're not cognizant of that says something about you. By no means are the Republicans uniformly on Trump's side - that was easily seen both during and after the primaries.

At this point we know very little about Mueller's investigation. We do know his appointment was met with bi-partisan approval. No one that I am aware of has been indicted. Who then is conducting a "witch hunt"?

Mueller's investigation is separate from Congress's investigation - you do know that, right? So bringing up Mueller is just a Straw Man.
