Gregg Allman Dead: Allman Brothers Frontman Dies at 69 | Billboard

He "passed away peacefully at his home in Savannah, Georgia," according to a statement on Gregg Allman's official website, noting that the family planned to release a statement soon. "Gregg struggled with many health issues over the past several years. During that time, Gregg considered being on the road playing music with his brothers and solo band for his beloved fans, essential medicine for his soul. Playing music lifted him up and kept him going during the toughest of times."

RIP to a rock music legend. The Allman Bros music, specifically the song, Mountain Jam has been with me, throughout all stages of my life and touched a spot in my soul.

Damn. One of my top ten favorite songs "Melissa". This one with Greg and Jackson Browne.

Thanks Gregg, for all the beautiful music. RIP

great musician
fortunate to see he and Duane and the band play a couple of times while i was in college
but swore i would never see him perform after he rolled over on his roadie/drug supplier (Herring) when he and cher got popped in the late 70's
will never support a narc and greg was the worst kind
