School not allowing teen to walk in graduation because she is pregnant

1. We don't really know how the school treats other sins, do we?
2. With standards, there are often consequences. Are you advocating for the termination of all consequences?
I am advocating ending hypocrisy.

You are thinking what I was when I wrote that comment. I myself, am surprised, considering you were throwing your opinion around like it was fact, which it most certainly is not.
What have you offered as counter or rebuttal?

So then were you a virgin when you married?

Nope, not at all. Then I again when I did get laid it was after high school, and I made certain assurances that the probabilities that whoever I had intimate encounters with, were quite low in getting pregnant. I made sure that particular deck was VERY stacked in my favor. I liked money more than sex, even when I was younger and hornier.

I was short fat and ugly. Not a good combo for getting laid in school, or anywhere else for that matter. Women are as visual as men, make no mistake. I am still two of the three.

Just out of curiosity just what does your question have to do with the op?

What have you offered as counter or rebuttal?

Honestly? Nothing but a quip since that's all an opinion is worth. Lots of people got em, and most are worth jack.

Because obviously the school is failing not to mention hypocritical. As said before, primitive thinking and ignorance they push on the kids is not working or preparing the kids for real life.

of course it isn't which is demonstrated by her pregnancy...however her parents chose to have her attend...it is their right

Or maybe she will brush up on sex ed, something the idiots in so called Christian schools fail to teach.

I was wondering how many pages it would take for someone to bring sex ed up. I'm guessing this school doesn't teach it, being a private Christian school. If they did, perhaps she'd not be pregnant.

As for the topic of not being able to graduate - whether or not I agree with the rule, she knowingly broke it, so she has to face the consequences.

Regarding the father, I've read that he's in college, so obviously the school cannot punish him.

What **** did I make up?

Obama is the prototype liberal and he made it clear that if his teenage or pre teen daughter got pregnent he expected an aborton doctors knife to fix the problem for him

Please cite your source for this.

First, thanks for your honesty. I believe damn near every American male would love to have gotten laid during high school if they had had the opportunity. If they didn't it likely wasn't for lack of desire or effort. Yes, there are exceptions to every rule, but generally, given the chance, most young dudes would have been all too willing.

I liked money more than sex, even when I was younger and hornier.

We all have our priorities.

Just out of curiosity just what does your question have to do with the op?

Fair question. A number of males on the thread are quick to blame the women for becoming pregnant. If the sex was/is consensual the woman is never anymore to blame than the her mail partner.

Honestly, there were a few times during my misspent youth that I sweated it out. I saved my pennies just knowing that I was going to be a daddy. I'm one lucky sumbitch. The rabbit never died, but if it had come to it I was always prepared to do the right thing and step up. I would have married the girl and raised my child.

Sex was always consensual. Sex required me and a female. It was just as much my choice and responsibility as it was hers. The ladies involved were no more responsible or irresponsible than me. If I had gotten a girl pregnant in high school or later it would have been just as much me as it would have been her.

Slut shaming is hurtful and wrong.

Most of these institutions have students and parents sign morality statements that are binding with consequences at the private institution. She likely violated the morality clause and thus was reprimanded in a sense by the school system. Nothing outrageous and nothing outside of their rights. She likely knew the rules and chose to break them. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

Do you really not know obama's public support for abortion?

He has made it clear on many occasions.

I think you do know but are pretending not to.

Specifically aboujt his daughters he said that if they "make a mistake" he does not want them "punished with a baby"

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wBJryE6nUVM

He's talking about using birth control! He didn't say one word about abortion in that clip.

I don't know what happened to the guy, I presume if he even went to the school, then he got the same treatment. If not that's a crappy deal.

That said I had originally commented that I believed the school had rules and it was in their preview and right to enforce them, otherwise why have them. Enforcing the rules do NOTHING for those directly involved but do send the message to others that breaking them will have consequences, which is a valid point. The kid knew the rules and consequences, ahead of time and broke em anyhow. I have no sympathy for that. Just cant muster it.

Sound like you are near to supporting the right of the parents to abuse their child by placing her in such a school.

Somehow my money would be on the parents not being virgins on their wedding night.

Rules are rules if you don't like the rules then go elsewhere.
Last time I checked she had 100% control over getting pregnant.

Sorry that is not child abuse. You have no clue what you are talking about.

They are keeping their word. The girl didn't. They doing as they said they would. They are doing this for the other students to see as the girl is now essentially irrelevant. That is based on morals derived from their faith, and faith in their moral code.

Which in and of itself is immoral.

Some would call you the intolerant nut bag.

Nope. I am intolerant of religious nut bags.

Their problem is they want is their form of Sharia law.

They can kiss my ass

So you are every bit as immoral as those you pass judgement upon.

There's a word for that. It's typical of right wing religious folks.

I

From a right wing religious extremist no less.

:lamo If you knew me you wouldn't say that. I am about as irreligious as one can get. I am for the record an agnostic.

They are not trying to pass a law or exempt themselves from one. They are simply living according to their tenants and I begrudge no one that if they neither make law or exempt themselves from it.

I passed judgment on no one I simply commented I agreed with the school. That's not passing judgment in my mind, but regardless I am free to express my opinion on the matter, which I did. Apparently you dislike the religious folks. I don't mind if people are religious, especially if it makes them good people.

What religion were you forced to join? What religion has forced its customs and beliefs on you?

Now our government has forced religious views on the people of this country. In a free country this shouldn't happen.

In a free country religious freedom allows people to practice their faith, customs, and beliefs.

It is sad you are intolerant of other people right to follow their religious customs and beliefs.

Never said that. My sister was a former Dominican nun. As devoutly religious as they come.

Unlike many religious nut jobs she neither wore it on her sleeve, or worked to legislate morality.

Anti abortion. Anti homosexuality. These are but a few of the ways the religious right is attempting to legislate morality.

Stay the **** out of goverment.

So you know that the father to be did not used force or threat of force?

Or drugs for that matter or was an adult family member.
