Following the horrific terror attack in Manchester, England, President Trump slammed the terrorists behind the bombing, calling them "evil losers."

On "The View" on Tuesday, some of the co-hosts took issue with Trump's remark.

Sunny Hostin said using the term "evil losers" was not presidential.

I would actually agree. I am not sure calling these terrorists "evil losers," is enough. Killers, Islamic terrorists, thugs, etc... I think that would more appropriate. Losers should be used when he is talking about Democrats or the MSM.

IMO it humanizes ISIS when calling them losers.

Umm, it's 'The View.' Who cares??

I am somewhat concerned because calling these terrorists losers makes it seem like Trump is playing games. Fat pigs, losers should be reserved for people like Rosie or Jeb Bush.

I actually agree with "The View" as well. By calling them evil losers he's putting them on the same level as the the DNC and the MSM. There's nothing wrong with just calling ISIS terrorists.

I'm not asking this sarcastically...who do you believe will take this as Trump playing games and not being serious?

Edit: I will add that I think name calling in general is the lowest form of debate. If you must resort to attacking a person as opposed to their ideas you have already lost...I guess I just don't seem how this, in particular, is harmful, especially in the grand scheme of all the questionable language used so far by President Trump

Most Strong Women know they can B-Slap Trump.

Who cares what the cows from The View have to say.

The View is worried about the feelings of the killers. Not so much about whom they killed, maimed and wounded. I could never understand those who put feelings over actions. Feelings never killed anyone, actions kill, maim and wound.

These terrorists are killers. Cold blooded killers. They cannot be reformed and do not deserve respect. They deserved to be killed. Calling them losers imo humanizes them.

Most liberals reserve their empathy for criminals, terrorists, and other undesirables who do harm to this country. You'll never hear them speak about victims who were falsely accused of rape or businesses being shut down due to patent trolls.

I agree with all of that, actually, except for the last sentence. I harbor no respect for terrorists and agree that largely they cannot be reformed. I guess I just don't see where calling them 'losers' as opposed to 'terrorists' is going to make a lick of difference.

Bull****

I think the wording is very important. They are Islamic terrorists. We cannot be afraid to offend those that believe in the Islamic religion. By calling them losers or terrorists, it diminishes the evil these people are committing.

I agree with the bolded. I am not one to get into semantic arguments. I guess my question is where do you feel the harm is done. Do you feel that the terrorists will view our wording as weak, thereby making them more likely to attack us or do you believe that using this weak wording makes Americans feel as if radical Islam is less of a threat than you feel it realistically is? I don't want to put words in your mouth, so if either of those isn't why you think that...what is?

It wasn't directed at me, however I do think this piddling around with wording of "evil losers" shows squeamishness about just calling them what they are. From speculation, the Sauds didn't want ISIS called "Islamic Terrorists". I don't know whether that's true or not, but I hope it's not. I don't think it matters in the grand scheme of things unless Trump absolutely never uses the phrase, and that's not the case. He uses that most of the time. Trump's reasoning for not calling them "Islamic Terrorists" was silly. Not as silly as previous administrations, but it does show that Trump is willing to bend on behalf of the Sauds and I don't care for that.

Calling someone a loser is something a fifth grader does, so yeah I'd say "presidential" isn't the first adjective I'd pick.
