Uh hu. So, you think that there are now Trump people leaking to the NY Times, and they are not the same people that are leaking to the NY Times (and WaPo) to try and destroy Trump?

I think it is the Obama people that have been leaking since Trump took office, and now their contacts at these papers are asking for stuff on the bombing.

Except...Trump fired the guy who was supposed to be in charge of the FBI and the liberals lost their ****. Unless you're suggesting that Trump personally take the reigns of the I.C. then eventually his department heads need to be held responsible.

The DOJ has responded to the FISA Court telling them they have recently put into place new guidelines to stop the abuse. If you watched the video I posted you would have known that.

Fact...Trump cannot personally control the behavior of the department heads...many of whom are Obama appointees

Fact...Trump cannot properly Identify the specific individuals involved. Remembers "17 different intelligence communities". Which one of these 17 intelligence communities is responsible for the leaks? Do you know?

Fact...Again, Trump cannot personally control the behavior of the the IC community which inlcudes upwards of 5k employees. Unless you're suggesting that Trump fired another head of a department. We all know how that would turn out given the haters response to Comey's firing....

Guidelines? Seriously? You think that is going to stop it? How about LAWS, policies or resending the laws or policies that allowed it to happen in the first place. Guidelines are exactly that. They guide you but they don't force anyone to change nor does it hold them accountable if they don't. Policies and laws are what enforce guidelines.

What were the "multiple leaks". Listening to BBC I know of only two.

The "multiple" probably comes in as a result of quite a different issue and that was whipped up as important by the media. This reinforced the thought that the US is not trustworthy with secret material especially as the American press and stations kept harping around on it. Otherwise it would have hardly been probable that the PM would warn the President of information handling at a Nato summit. But most people here don't want to see the damage the type of reporting we are now faced with and prefer to interpret these things as discrete and unconnected events.

But I guess Trump was right about DC being a leaking catastrophe.

The actual wording used in the clip is the "DOJ has certified the changes to the FISA court" And as the clip noted at the end of the year this 702 will need to be approved again by congress. After the abuse shown by the Obama administration chances are there may not be the votes for it.

I really can't think of a reason why the NYTimes was justified in publishing that information. I also for the life of me can't understand what possible motive the leakers would have for giving the NYTimes that info in the first place. It's baffling.

We can agree on that. There SHOULD be an investigation into who is doing the leaks and those people should be publicly crucified. And we can also agree...Trump should fire every Obama appointed official.

I also love the duplicity in saying "well the Russian investigation takes time" while demanding Trump single-handedly find and stop leaks immediately.
